(she/her)
Hello! My name is Haley and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My goal as a therapist is to support and promote personal growth and emotional well-being using a trauma informed, strengths based approach. I strive to provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space for you to explore and process feelings, develop new tools to navigate life, and work toward your identified goals. I have experience working with clients to manage anxiety, mood challenges, substance use, relational difficulties, and life stressors.
In our first session we’ll take time to understand your story, talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, and explore therapeutic approach and fit.
I believe my greatest strengths are my compassion, empathy, and my commitment to meeting you exactly where you are in your journey, without judgement.
I have experience working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, OCD, and substance use. I am well-positioned to support those navigating life transitions, substance use challenges, anxiety and intrusive thoughts, low mood or motivation, emotional processing, and relationship concerns. I work collaboratively with clients to address goals related to mental health, relationships, and personal growth. My approach focuses on building upon existing strengths, developing effective coping strategies, and fostering resilience to support desired change.
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing, a collaborative approach that helps you explore your goals for change while tapping into your strengths and resilience to overcome any challenges, emotions, or habits that might get in the way of your progress.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT in our sessions to explore the connections between your thoughts, feelings, and actions. Together, we’ll identify unhelpful thinking and work to shift negative self-talk and “sticky” thought patterns by challenging them and replacing them with more helpful, empowering thoughts and narratives.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I have been DBT trained, which has equipped me with effective tools to support clients with distress tolerance, interpersonal, mindfulness, and emotion regulation skills, especially if you are struggling to manage intense emotions.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
The basis of ACT is promoting acceptance: making peace with your thoughts and feelings, rather than struggling against them. We can use ACT to explore personal values and identify steps that align with these values to work toward a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling for you.
