I am a Clinical Licensed Social Worker based in the Central New Jersey area. I received my Masters from Rutgers School of Social Work and have been working for 5 years with adults with a range of mental health needs , such as depression anxiety working to improve quality of life , balance areas of life needs, improve self awareness and move forward with life goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first session we will identify structure of our work together, then identify areas of need, and goals we hope to achieve during our work together. This will outline our work together and help us be successful during following sessions. I

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I strive to work interactively with my clients to help them self identify causes of challenges, stressors and barriers to find solutions and strategies to live a healthy balanced life of satisfaction and enjoyment. .

My treatment methods

Interpersonal

I am an Interpersonal therapist which means that I work interactively with clients based on their attachment styles. This theory is an evidence-based approach that has empirical support and is structured, and time-limited approach. It usually requires a minimum of 12- 16 weeks of treatment sessions. Based on this theory, social and emotional interactions between an individual and others contribute to mental health issues. Frequently conflicts between people are based on interpersonal interactions that become habitualized behaviors and require exploration and interventions.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Through my experience I have found Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to be effective with clients to address, depression, anxiety and other emotional needs. CBT is an approach to see connections and increase healthy response to behaviors, thoughts and feelings. Though the use of a structured approach CBT can be an effective way to reframe, restructure and effectively help clients identify and modify negative or anxious thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to their mental health challenges. Opening an opportunity for increased insight of ways to develop practical coping mechanisms and manage their symptoms more effectively.
