My treatment methods

Narrative

I believe everyone has internal strengths and resiliency that can be utilized to help reauthor their story. My work focuses on cultivating a personalized therapeutic experience that encompasses both compassion and empathy. Together we will deconstruct the narrative you hold about yourself that is holding you back and reauthor a story that is more aligned with your hopes and dreams.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize this approach to teach you ways to challenge the negative cognitive distortions that are exacerbating your mental health symptoms and enable you to develop a healthier sense of self.

Couples Counseling

As a licensed marriage and family therapist, I utilize multiple systemic theories to help couples learn their attachment styles and love languages while improving communication, conflict resolution, troubles with intimacy, etc.

i came to her for help with my marriage. but instead started having therapy on myself so that i can be a better husband to my wife and a better person for myself. she is a good listener and gives straight answers. i never thought that there was anything wrong with me so i never did therapy. now i look forward to doing it every week and clearing my head of the good and bad that might be on my mind. thanks to gena i know that im going to be ok.

Great 1st session with Gena. She was very welcoming and understanding. We both felt like she was a great listener and gave us some short term goals to work on before our next session. Excited to continue working with her.
