Hello there! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania and the owner of Thrive + Shine, LLC. I have been working in the mental health field for thirteen years and have experience working in community mental health, urban education, crisis management, and outpatient therapy. I graduated with a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Millersville University and also hold a certification in School Counseling. I have advanced certifications in Family Systems and Structural Family Therapy. I am passionate about creating a safe space for people to unpack their story and identify what mindsets are no longer serving them well. I utilize a compassionate, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach that meets each client where they are.
I understand that seeking therapy is a courageous step. It is my privilege to be a part of your journey. I am committed to creating a safe and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. Building a trusting relationship is at the heart of my work as a therapist. During our first session together, we will work on identifying your goals and expectations. This initial intake appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to ask any questions you may have. We will also discuss boundaries, confidentiality, and how we can work together to ensure you feel comfortable and respected. We will discuss why you are seeking therapy--why now, what you'd like help with, and what goals you have. This will help us build a strong foundation for our work together.
I'm a firm believer that laughter is good for the soul, and I often use humor in my sessions to connect with clients. Our time together will be a blend of deep reflection, self-compassion, and taking encouraging next steps. I believe in celebrating every victory, no matter how small, and I promise to be one of your biggest cheerleaders. My goal is to empower you and help you find wellness in every part of your life—emotionally, mentally, and in your relationships.

I strive to create a sacred and safe space where people can unpack and process their story while identifying and uprooting unhelpful mindsets and patterns of behavior that are no longer serving them well.
Trauma Informed Care
My approach to working with individuals who have survived traumatic experiences emphasizes the importance of physical and emotional safety. This includes creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment that fosters resilience and empowers clients. I recognize that individuals who have experienced trauma have had choices taken away from them. This is why I emphasize collaboration with clients and recognize clients are the experts of their own experiences.
Attachment-based
Attachment-based therapy recognizes that early interactions, as well as other significant relationships throughout our lives, shape our expectations and patterns in relationships. Together we will identify your attachment style and explore how past relationships influence your level of healthy relationships today. Together we will build healthier, more secure connections--both with others and yourself.
