New to Grow
I am a therapist of over 20 years of experience supporting individuals, couples and families through a wide range of challenges. My work is grounded in compassion, practical insight and a deep respect for each person's individual story. My experience is shaped not only by my professional training, but also my own personal journey as a cancer survivor and a parent of a neurodivergent teen. The impact i strive to have is helping clients feel seen, supported and capable of the change they want in their lives.
Our first session is an opportunity for us to begin building a comfortable and collaborative relationship. We will spend time getting to know each other and, discussing what brings you to therapy and identifying/prioritizing your goals for treatment. I will ask questions to better understand your experiences, background and current challenges. By the end of the session, you will have a clearer sense of how I work and what ongoing sessions may look like.
What sets me apart as a therapist is the combination of my deep clinical experience and genuine lived understanding. My work is not one-fits all and I tailor my approach to each individual session and client. One of my greatest strengths is my ability to connect. Clients often feel quickly understand, not on a surface level, but in a way that allows for meaningful and lasting change. My approach is practical and results oriented. I focus on helping clients develop insight and give them tools they can utilize in everyday life.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings and behaviors. We will identify patterns of unhealthy thinking and explore how they are impacting your daily functioning. Together we will work on tools to reframe thoughts to be more balanced and rational. Together we will build skills that support your therapeutic goals.
