I have been practicing for 9 years and enjoy working with people from all different walks of life. I'm passionate about helping people live an authentic life and learn skills to manage their mental health. I enjoy creativity and getting outdoors. I try to include elements of these into therapy as all areas of our health are interconnected. I use a variety of approaches while keeping the client in the center. Some of these approaches include CBT and ACT while keeping a trauma informed perspective. I enjoy grief work and helping people process through this challenging time.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we will go over what to expect in therapy and you'll have a chance to share what you are looking to get from a therapist. We'll talk about some historical information and what brings you to therapy so I can best understand your needs. We'll work together to plan what therapy looks like for you and how to achieve these goals

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I'm very collaborative in the work I do; I believe you are the expert on yourself and want you to be a part of decision making. I use a combination of the approaches and others listed on my page to ensure I am best meeting your needs. I work to empower you to find solutions and process through situations together. I fully believe that each person holds the key to their success in therapy and my goal is to be a guide in the process.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I have years of experience working on mood disorders, emotional regulation, and navigating relationships. I have experience addressing anxiety, depression, grief, OCD, ADHD, suicidal thoughts, stress management, self-image, trauma and bipolar disorder. I have worked with individuals of various ages on these goals and more. I use evidence based approaches in care to address symptoms while keeping a strengths-based approach in treatment.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is about understanding the connections between our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. It teaches skills that directly impact our day to day life and connects back to our personal values and core beliefs.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person centered therapy is focusing on growth from the inside out. It is focused on the client being more in the driver seat than some other approaches.

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma impacts many people at some point in their loves. Trauma informed care means I take into account any experiences you may have and how they may be impacting your current life. It also means helping you to better understand the connections between your past and present to help reduce the impact of triggers.

Mind-body approach

Our body and minds are connected to one another. My approach here is to help you better understand how the two are connected and how making changes in one of these areas can have overall mental health benefits.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

This is an approach to OCD treatment in which we walk through exposures in a safe way by starting small. This approach works to recondition the brain to not respond with compulsions when experiencing obsessive thoughts.
