Life can be hard, but you don't need to navigate it alone. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania with over 8 years experience in the mental health field. I earned my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Waynesburg University. I started my journey working with families as a family based therapist and then transitioned to working in a school based and outpatient settings as a mental health therapist. I enjoy working with all populations. My warm approach welcomes all who are ready to start their journey to being their best self.
Choosing to come to therapy is often times the biggest step you can take. During our first session together, my focus is to get to know you and explore what brings you to therapy. I use a warm and empathetic approach as I get to know your hopes for treatment and goals that you would like to work on.
I like to meet my clients where they are at and then as our therapeutic relationship grows, help you to step out of your comfort zone. Everyone is different and what approach might work for one person might not work for the next person. With that being said, I use a variety of approaches including evidence based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), as well as Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
Individuals who are navigating life, who might need guidance with their anxieties and stressors that day to day life brings. Life is hard and sometimes you need someone non-biased to talk to about the difficulties and to see things through a more positive lens. I enjoy working with transitional age youth who are figuring things out, whether it be what they want to do after school, their relationships, advocating for themselves, or finding their place in this world, I'm here to help you find that. I work well with individuals who are open to connecting their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors who are motivated to developing healthy coping skills and thought patterns.

I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I've been using CBT for the last 8+ years and has helped many individuals to identify ways to connect their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and identify patterns. I use this technique to either reinforce a pattern that is working or observe and change a pattern that is unhelpful. A lot of times, self-awareness and exploring insight into our patterns is a lot of times the first step into making lasting change. In my practice, I also utilize problem solving strategies, coping skills, and mindfulness to help manage the stressors that come up in everyday life. I hope to help you build confidence and gain awareness and insight to make lasting change.
