Hi, I’m Alley, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Nationally Certified Counselor, and Infant Mental Health Endorsed Clinician dedicated to supporting women through the many emotional seasons of their lives. My work is rooted in the belief that women deserve spaces where their experiences are honored, their identities are supported, and their inner worlds are understood with compassion.
I began my career working alongside mothers navigating addiction—a role that deeply shaped my trauma-informed, relational approach. Over time, I expanded my training to better support women throughout the reproductive and early parenting years. I am a Circle of Security Facilitator and Infant Mental Health Endorsed, allowing me to support women and families at the intersection of emotional well-being, attachment, and early relational health.
Today, I work with women navigating major life transitions, identity shifts, reproductive and perinatal challenges, relationship stress, and the everyday weight of being needed in so many ways. Whether you're adjusting to motherhood, struggling with infertility, moving through burnout, facing a loss, exploring who you are, or longing for more stability and connection, I offer a warm, grounded space to slow down and make sense of whatever you’re facing.
My name is Berthovena (Bertha for short) and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in South Florida. I originally received my Masters in Social Work from Hunter College and have been professionally working in the field for over 23 years now. Since I was a child I loved serving others, and this passion is a large part of what has maintained my deep drive and love for Social Work not only as a career, but as a way of life.
Many people struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, navigating friendships, connecting with your partner or building stronger family dynamics, but I am here to help. No matter how big or small the problem is, no one should face life challenges alone. I would be happy to be part of your journey of healing, seeking self-acceptance and optimal fulfillment to live your best life. My hope for our work together is that you complete therapy with a better understanding of self, emotions, behaviors and a unique toolbox to manage any stressors.
I utilize person-in-environment approaches, where we are able to look at how the different domains of life are impacting you and vice versa. As a therapist, I am collaborative, exploratory, and realistic, which also means that I will challenge you to expand your perspective about yourself, emotions, thoughts, behaviors, relationships, family dynamics, etc.
Being vulnerable is scary! In my practice, I view therapy as a collaborative process, where you are the expert of your life and experiences and I can help you to figure out where you want to go and how you want to get there. I welcome you to ask as many questions as possible to see if I am the right therapist for you. Nothing is off the table!
Jennifer Valera, LCSW

Hi. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Florida. I received my Masters from the University of West Florida and have been practicing for 18 years. I provide a safe space for clients to work through complex thoughts and feelings. I love Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) because it helps clients to recognize distortions in thinking that are creating problems so they can reevaluate them in the light of reality. I also love Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) which incorporates positive psychology principles and practices, and helps clients change by constructing solutions rather than focusing on the problems.

Hello! I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with 18 years of experience serving individuals in Indiana. My Master's degree from Northern Illinois University provided a strong foundation for the diverse therapeutic strategies and models I use to help clients navigate complex relationship challenges. I focus on thorough assessments, accurate diagnoses, and the development of tailored solutions to foster improved communication, emotional well-being, and overall functioning for everyone I work with.
Hi, I'm Shelby!
Are you feeling stuck and uncertain, looking for a safe place to be yourself? I believe in the healing that comes when we find our resting place in this fast-paced society; where we can “be” rather than “do”. My clients often say therapy with me feels both validating and actionable—we focus on insight, but we also find steps forward. Ultimately, I strive to provide a warm, welcoming space for you to be yourself, partnering with you as you take the courageous steps towards reaching your goals.
I have over 20 years of extensive experience working in the non-for profit, educational and private practice sectors: helping adults, couples and families who want to improve their relationships, heal history of trauma, symptoms of depression, anxiety, and interpersonal relationship concerns. The methods I use are effective & grounded in research, including EMDR, TF-CBT, ACT, and The Gottman Method. I have completed graduate education and hold a license in marriage and family therapy. I have advanced training in Gottman, Trauma Focused-CBT, Nurturing Parenting Skills & EMDR. I have presented trainings and workshops on various mental health issues to both mental health clinicians and clients/families who are seeking betterment in their lives. I provide ongoing clinical consultation to various organizations that provide free mental health services to the foster care population.
Hi, I’m Desiree, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I work with adults who appear capable on the outside but internally struggle with chronic self-doubt, overthinking, and people-pleasing. Many of my clients worry they are “too much” or not good enough, even while managing a lot in their lives.
In therapy, we focus on understanding these patterns and where they come from, while building self-trust, stronger boundaries, and more confidence in your decisions. My approach is relational and person-centered, and I see people as whole humans, not diagnoses.
Clients often share that they feel comfortable opening up with me quickly and that they feel genuinely heard. I believe that kind of connection is a key part of meaningful change.
My name is Michael Hutchinson - though I go by Hutch - and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida. I have been working in the field of mental health since 2012, and actively practicing with individuals, couples, and groups since 2018. At the core of my practice is a constructivist approach, treating individuals as experts on themselves as we work to apply the theories of change I endorse to create meaningful/ values-congruent improvements wherever indicated. In my individual work I aim to scaffold skills, concepts, and techniques to ensure that distress is resolved and change is promoted across any number of domains of life. I strive to promote self-determination, and to develop the perspective that all emotions are carriers of information that deserve proactive plans or reassurance through context.
Motherhood will change everything you thought you knew about yourself.
I'm Amanda, a licensed mental health counselor specializing in matrescence, the identity work of becoming a mother. I work with women in pregnancy, postpartum, and the years that follow, when the woman who walked in no longer fits and you are not quite sure who is emerging.
My clients are often high-functioning on the outside and quietly exhausted on the inside. They are tired of surface-level coping skills and ready to do the deeper work.
I bring years of clinical experience, a background in executive healthcare leadership, and specialized training in perinatal mental health and EMDR. I also provide affirming, safe care for members of the gender expansive community.
If you are willing to be honest, even when it is uncomfortable, we will do really good work together.
John Checkett is the first man in history to earn a master's degree in Women's Studies in Florida.
How many times has this happened to you: You've made an innocent remark, and the other person distorts it and blames you for the distortion, not for what you actually said. That's called the Strawman Argument and is a common problem of communication -- communication typically being the single biggest problem couples have. Communication is one of the social sciences, and one of John's specialties, along with Women's Studies, Pastoral Psychology and Clinical Social Work.
He helps high-functioning men and women free themselves from low self-esteem and negative thinking. As a former officer in the Theosophical Society and a former professional psychic, he firmly believes in the value of Spirituality to Mental Health. He can also help with exercise and nutrition, to help create a holistically healthy situation for you.
Whether you're dealing with anxiety or depression, relationship problems, or just feel overwhelmed, Prof Checkett is here to help -- even with time management! You might feel bit nervous about starting therapy, but he's extremely easy to talk to, knowledgeable in a wide variety of subjects, and very media-literate. Most people feel better after a session. In a short time we can get you unstuck and back to living a happy life again.

My name is John A. Llauget. I hold a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University and an Educational Specialist Degree in Counseling from University of South Florida. My career in mental health in 1977 working in a psychiatric hospital; and later as a outpatient therapist in a community mental health center working with children, adolescents, families, and adults. I was licensed in Florida in 1986 as a Mental Health Counselor and have maintained my license since that date. Also I have worked as an employee assistance counselor, school counselor, associate professor at an international university, and court evaluator for guardianship cases. For 20 years I worked as a cancer counselor with oncology clients helping them cope with illness, stress, and emotional distress.
Additionally I have maintained a practice and interest in Traditional Okinawan Uechi-Ryu, earning a Masters rank in that system of training. I have used martial training with children & adolescents to develop self-control and self esteem. Later when I began working with an elderly population and clients dealing with physical limitations, I taught Qigong and Mindfulness Meditation as a way to improve their health, well-being, and cope with stress. My therapeutic style centers around getting to know a client, develop trust, and talking more explicitly about issues before making any recommendations. I am a strong advocate of evidence-based treatments and teaching ‘tools’ to cope with stress and emotional difficulties. I have gained training in trauma treatment because we now know that it is prevalent in our life experiences. I value compassion, persistence, and patience in working towards change. I look forward to working with you. I also value your time and want to use it productively in assisting you to reach your therapeutic goals.
I’m Dr. David Johnson, a licensed clinical mental health therapist, Psy.D., Master Level Certified Addiction Professional, and trained pastor and chaplain. For more than 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping individuals, couples, teens, and families find healing through evidence‑based care, with the option to integrate faith for those who desire it. My career has taken me from youth services to dual‑diagnosis treatment, to serving homeless veterans, and into leadership roles as a program director and adjunct counseling professor. I also supervise interns pursuing LMHC, Marriage and Family Therapy, and addiction credentials.
Sometimes people experience emotional problems (e.g., anxiety, depression), behavioral problems (e.g., overeating, smoking), or relationship problems (e.g., excessive arguing, poor communication) that interfere with their daily functioning. These difficulties result from the interaction of biological, learning, behavioral, and environmental factors, which influence patterns of thinking and behaving. Negative life events can contribute to the development of self-defeating patterns of thinking and behaving, which some people can have difficulty changing. In my work, which I have been practicing for 42 years, I help people identify these self-defeating patterns and develop strategies for dealing with them. I emphasize the importance of practicing these strategies consistently, with the goal of handling emotions more effectively and behaving in more responsible and healthy ways. I focus on life pattern changes with respect to relationships, depression, anxiety, anger control, impulse control, and stress management.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Columbia University. My concentration was clinical practice in health and mental health settings. For the past 14 years I have been working in a hospital setting. During this time I have worked with individuals and families facing serious illness, life altering diagnosis, grief, substance abuse, homelessness as well as various other life transitions, depression, anxiety and panic attacks.
I've been on my own recovery journey for many years and I'd like to help you grow in freedom and happiness! My aim is to help you identify unresolved issues so that you can begin to heal. We will work together to increase your recovery journey by reducing anxiety/depression and also by completing assignments along the way so that you can meet your goals.
I invite you to reach out to me, so that together we may build in you, what hinders you or blocks you from reaching your full potential. I am excited to start this recovery journey with you. Remember, no loitering with the intent to recover! See you soon.

Since childhood and into my professional career, I have always held one thing above all—helping people navigate difficult circumstances and situations, finding solutions that allow the average person to live with greater purpose and fulfillment. This quest to change lives led me into the counseling field. My treatment approach is holistic, attending to your mental and emotional well-being. My treatment regimen is holistic—attending to your mental, and emotional well-being. I can also be of service if you are seeking marital and/or couples counseling and Christian counseling.
I have been working in the mental health field since 2009 and completed my Master’s in Counseling Psychology in 2013. Throughout my career, I’ve supported individuals experiencing severe mental illness, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and bipolar disorder. My passion lies in helping youth and adults navigate life transitions and the emotional shifts that often accompany them.

I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) since 2008. I am qualified to provide therapy/counseling to those who live in Florida. I do not prescribe medication because I am not a psychiatrist. I can refer you to one if needed.
I have worked with individuals who suffer from anxiety, depression, grief, adjustment and life transitions, women's issues, weight difficulties, addictions, chronic/terminal illness and caregiver burnout. I acknowledge your journey and will teach positive ways to deal with difficulties that are serving as obstacles preventing you from transforming your life.

Hi! I'm Ashley and I'm a licensed therapist providing virtual therapy in Florida. A little about me... I'm a first-generation Latina and Miami native. As the daughter of immigrant parents, I understand the unique pressures that can come with balancing family expectations, cultural values, achievement, independence, and figuring out who you are outside of what others expect from you. When I'm not in the therapy office, I'm usually training in MMA or spending time with the people I care about most. These parts of my life keep me grounded and balanced. I specialize in helping young adults and adults who struggle with anxiety, overthinking, relationship difficulties, people-pleasing, low self-worth, and the impact of past experiences. My clients often leave therapy with a stronger sense of self, healthier boundaries, greater confidence in their decisions, and the ability to navigate life with less fear and more trust in themselves. I try to create a space that feels genuine, supportive, and real. My promise to you: I’ll show up as your therapist and will be in your corner. Email me to schedule your first session (:
I have worked in the mental health field and have helped many clients. My career path spans over 25 years and includes working in various positions. I was a Lifeguard Lieutenant for Miami Dade Ocean Rescue, a Middle School Guidance Counselor, Mental Health Counselor for the Broward Detention Center and two local hospitals - Ft. Lauderdale Hospital and Aventura Hospital and Medical Center. I derive my success from my years of experience and ability to impart on my clients the tools they need to effect the changes they so desire.
Hi :) I'm Tiffany, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Florida. Many of the women I work with carry immense responsibilities within familial, relational, professional, and societal systems that often ask far more of them than they receive in return. My role is to be a dependable source of support- a space where women can have a protected hour each week to recover, recalibrate, and replenish their mental and emotional well-being.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I primarily help fathers build stronger relationships with their children by better understanding their children's emotional and developmental needs. I especially enjoy helping fathers and their teenage and young adult children repair strained relationships, navigate conflict, and develop healthier ways of communicating. I also help men strengthen communication and connection with their partners.
I hope to be a helpful resource to you!

Welcome to JBG Therapy (Just Breathe & Grow)
My name is Jayleene, and I look forward to being able to assist you in your therapeutic journey. Sometimes it is hard to keep our mind quiet, to focus on the bigger picture, or to embrace change. Hard to be able to control random nervous episodes that are difficult to understand what is triggering you; even the moments of low motivation, procrastination, or not having the energy to get out of bed. Have you ever experienced any of these? It is possibly linked to Anxiety and depression which are very common in our society, but they do not have to control us. I specialize in helping individuals like you that are experiencing these symptoms as well as any life struggle big or small. To explore your emotions deeper, to embrace our flaws, and to love ourselves unapologetically. I find that lack of emotional understanding is considered the main reason why a lot of us find it hard to break generational cycles, or even seek therapy to begin with. As a Latinx individual, I know the deep-rooted stigmas that come with mental health and how difficult it can be to take the first step in taking control of ourselves.
Not only will I try to understand you, but I also try my best to get you to understand yourself by exploring your feelings, looking at different perspectives, providing you with education, finding various ways to cope with your symptoms, and offering you a unique therapeutic experience. If this sounds like something you are willing to do let me be the first to say Welcome to your new healing journey!
Life can feel heavy and overwhelming, and we don’t have to carry everything alone. I’m here to help shoulder some of that weight and guide you toward the life you’re envisioning. I practice from a holistic perspective, considering all aspects of your life and how they influence one another. Even when we focus on a single concern, we’ll explore the broader patterns and connections that shape your wellbeing. Growth is rarely linear, and we’ll navigate that journey together with intention and compassion to help you get lasting change.
I thrive with clients who understand they need to work for change, want to gain insight and value personal evolution. Sessions often lead to new insights, “aha” moments, and sometimes even a laugh or two. Humor doesn’t replace healing, but it sure can soften the edges of difficult moments.
For my qualifications, I’m have a bachelor’s in Social Work and a master’s degree in counseling earned back in 2013. My background spans substance abuse treatment, grief and trauma work, suicide prevention, attention concerns, and mood and anxiety disorders — I’ve walked alongside people through some of life’s toughest chapters. And if you’re interested in Law of Attraction coaching, I also offer that as a way to help you align your mindset with your goals and dreams.
I've spent the last ten years accompanying people toward something better as an independently licensed Clinical Social Worker. I work with adults who are ready to make real changes but aren't sure where to start. I'm relaxed, direct, and focused on making every session count. I also happen to think I'm pretty funny, so at least I have that going for me.
I have been a therapist for over 25 years. I have a Master's in Social Work and a Master's in Education. I am also a certified Pet Bereavement Specialist. I am very flexible with scheduling. I am looking forward to meeting with people in my office
Appointments after 8pm would be virtual. My puppy is with me at the office. She is hypoallergic, a psychiatric service dog and being trained as a Therapy Dog. (if there is an issue with that please let me know.
I utilize a narrative therapy style. I prioritize building a strong foundation of trust in my client relationships and creating a safe environment for them. I believe that long term healing and sustainable growth blossoms from genuine conversation. This style of therapy highlights an opportunity for me to bear witness to your story, validate your experience, and support you in moving forward. The name This Too Shall Pass comes from my personal journey of faith, resilience, and learning that even the hardest seasons don’t last forever.
I work with adults who are navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, burnout, and emotional overwhelm. My approach blends evidence-based therapy with faith-centered support, helping clients find clarity, healing, and practical tools they can use in everyday life. I strive to create a safe, judgment-free space where you can show up as you are, reconnect with your strengths, and move forward with confidence, peace, and purpose.
I am a therapist who provides a supportive, collaborative, and goal-oriented space for adults and older adults. For more than 10 years, I have worked with older adults across a variety of settings, helping individuals navigate life transitions, aging-related challenges, emotional stress, health concerns, grief, and changes in independence or relationships.
This experience has given me a deep understanding of the unique emotional and practical needs that can arise throughout adulthood and later life. I focus on helping clients build coping skills, strengthen resilience, and improve overall well-being while creating a space where they feel heard, respected, and empowered. My goal is to help clients make meaningful progress, improve daily functioning, and feel more confident in managing life’s challenges.
"Healing is possible, even when it feels far away."
I'm Liz, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in working with adults navigating trauma and PTSD.
Many of the people I work with are used to carrying a lot on their own. You may be the person others depend on—the one who keeps going, gets things done, and rarely lets anyone see how much you're struggling. On the outside, you may look like you're managing. On the inside, you may feel anxious, overwhelmed, exhausted, disconnected, or stuck in survival mode.
You might find yourself overthinking, staying constantly busy, feeling on edge, struggling to slow down, or wondering why certain patterns keep showing up in your relationships and daily life. Often, these responses developed for a reason. They helped you cope with difficult experiences and get through what you had to get through.
Trauma isn't just something that happened in the past. It can affect how safe you feel in the world, how you relate to others, and how you see yourself. It can leave you feeling disconnected from your emotions, your body, or the person you want to be. I provide a safe, supportive, and trauma-informed space where we can explore these experiences at a pace that feels manageable. My approach is relational and collaborative. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, we'll work together to understand the patterns that have been keeping you stuck, process past experiences, build coping tools that actually fit your life, and strengthen your connection to yourself.
My goal is to help you feel more grounded, more connected, and more able to move through life with a greater sense of choice, confidence, and self-understanding. Healing looks different for everyone, and we'll work together to find what that looks like for you.
