Hello! I'm Tina O'Reilly, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida with over 10 years of experience working with individuals, groups, and families in both community and private practice settings. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, co-occurring disorders, and supporting clients with emotional regulation, stress management, and life transitions at any stage. I take a client-centered approach, placing high value on creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel truly heard and understood. In my work, I incorporate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, helping clients identify challenges, set meaningful goals, and work toward lasting change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session will include introductions and an overview of the therapeutic process. I’ll explain my approach to therapy, discuss the reasons you’re seeking support, and review relevant personal, medical, and family history. This is also a time to address any questions or concerns you have about therapy, including confidentiality and its limits. Together, we’ll begin to establish goals and explore what you'd like to gain from our work together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to build a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship. I create a warm, empathetic, and nonjudgmental space that encourages open communication and honest self-reflection. This foundation is essential to supporting your growth and helping you move toward your goals.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I currently provide individual therapy for clients 18 and older. I love working with people in various life stages and helping them overcome any obstacles they may be experiencing, working towards life fulfilment at any age.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is based on the idea that our thoughts shape our emotions and behaviors, so by altering negative thought patterns, we can improve our feelings and actions. As a therapist, I implement CBT techniques to create a collaborative approach aiding the client in identifying and challenging unhelpful negative thought patterns and behaviors that may be contributing to symptoms of distress.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Research has shown that the therapist-client relationship is one of the strongest predictors of successful outcomes. Implementing a Person-Centered approach is key to developing a therapeutic relationship, creating a safe, empathetic, nonjudgmental, environment, where the client is free to explore their thoughts and feelings in an environment where they feel heard and understood.

I have reached the point where I needed to have someone to talk to, and Ms Tina has been a great fit because she listens and then she helps point out the areas where I really could work on making improvements for me, which I really appreciate and desperately need right now.
