Hello, my name is Dr. Jovanovic I'm a licensed clinical psychologist with over 16 years of experience helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and pursuit of meaningful, values-based living. Drawing on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I work in guiding clients toward greater psychological flexibility-learning to accept difficult thoughts and feelings rather then struggle against them, while committing to actions that align with what truly matters to you. In every session I bring a compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental presence to every therapeutic relationship, creating a collaborative and open space where clients feel genuinely seen and accepted. At the heart of this work is a deep curiosity about each person's unique experience and an unwavering belief in their capacity for growth and change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Rather than standard intake we get to work from the start. Expect an honest, purposeful conversation about what your struggling with and what matters most to you- with some experiential moments woven in early. You'll leave with a clear sense of where we're headed and why, grounded in what a fuller, more meaningful life looks like to you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My work is grounded in pure Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) model, applied across a broad range of adult presentations from young adulthood through mid-life. Sessions are experientially rich -rather than simply talking about change, clients are guided through it, using carefully chosen exercises that make psychological process tangible and personally meaningful. Metaphor is used selectively, in service of insight rather than as default shorthand. At the heart of the work is genuine engagement with values-helping clients get closer on what truly matters to them and using that clarity as a compass for committed action.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

If you've spent years trying to think your way out of anxiety, depression, or stress- and still feel stuck- you're not alone, and you're likely not broken. Many of my clients arrive exhausted from fighting their own minds disconnected from what once gave their life meaning. I work best with people who are ready to try something different. Rather than chasing symptom relief alone, we work together toward something larger: a life guided by your values even when hard feelings show up along the way. If you're struggling with anxiety, OCD, depression, trauma, or chronic stress-and you're willing to approach your experience with honesty and some openness-we may be a good fit.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

With over a decade of clinical experience applying Acceptance and Commitment Therapy i bring a deep and nuanced understanding of this evidence-based approach to this work with clients navigating depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, and tress related condition, just to name the few. My practice is grounded in the core ACT framework-helping individuals develop psychological flexibility by learning to relate differently to difficult thoughts and emotions, rather than struggling against them. Drawing on years of clinical understanding of the psychological underpinnings of stress and emotional suffering, I integrate ACT principles in a way that is both scientifically rigorous and genuinely human. My approach emphasizes the cultivation of present-moment awareness, values clarification, and committed action-supporting clients in building meaningful lives even in the presence of pain.
