(she/her)
My name is Keisha Williams. I am human, and I understand that challenges occur in our lives when we least expect it. I am a firm believer that everyone goes though "ups" and "downs"/"negatives" and "positives" at different times in their lives. It is natural to experience these feelings; however, please know that you don't have to stay "down". You can and will bounce back and be better than you were before.
During our first session, we would start off with some introductions. We will speak about confidentiality. The client can explain their expectations and goals for treatment. The client will also be able to ask any necessary questions.
I take pride in assisting my clients close certain chapters of their lives. I can be of assistance without judgement. When we work together, I will provide a safe and supportive space for you to process your emotions and experiences while working collaboratively towards your goals.
Are you experiencing Trauma, Depression, Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Re-entry into the community from custody or just feeling hopeless? I am here to be a listening ear, and to work through these issues together as a team.
I love to use the Solution Focus Method for my clients that does not require long term treatment. This is also great for my clients that simply wants to focus on a single problem. Solution Focus helps to identify my client's interest and desires in a short period of time.
I like to utilize the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in order to assist my clients in changing their mindsets. In order to be successful, we need to get rid of the negative thinking to improve our mental health.
I want my clients to feel comfortable referring to the bible and using the scriptures to guide their life. I allow my clients to choose this route, if they prefer.
I love to allow my clients to tell their life stories. I use the Narrative Therapy to assist the client in retelling their life stories in a positive light.
