What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

You can expect our first and subsequent sessions to be a safe space for you to express yourself without judgment. During your first session, I will be getting to know you as well as provide you with an encouraging atmosphere to discuss your needs and wants regarding your therapeutic process.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Over the past 10 years, I have been able to work with individuals who have faced traumas as well as major life changes. I have learned that providing understanding, empathy, and encouragement allows for a more positive treatment outcome for individuals facing difficult life challenges.

My treatment methods

Trauma-Focused CBT

When working with patients, I utilize Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to assist my clients with reducing symptoms and improve their daily functioning. Additionally, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to encourage my clients to re-evaluate their thinking patterns and assumptions in order to identify unhelpful patterns or distortions that involve overgeneralizing negative outcomes, negative thinking that cancels out positive thinking, and expecting catastrophic outcomes to more balanced and effective thinking patterns.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate Mindfulness-Based Therapy to help clients improve their self-esteem as well as teaching them skills to be focused on the present. I incorporate mindfulness practices that include present moment awareness, mediation, and deep breathing exercises.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to improve negative thought patterns and focus on building a more balanced and positive way of thinking.
