I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida. I was born and raised in Western New York and graduated with a Masters in Social Work in 2002 from the University at Buffalo. I have worked in a variety of settings and with a variety of people, and I learned a great deal from each one of them. Life is hard. I offer a safe space for my clients to work through and process the difficulties they are facing while encouraging them to take good care of themselves, to seek out and nurture positive connections with others, and to search for and hold onto the things that make life worth living. I have a compassionate heart, and I am a good listener. I feel it is an honor and a privilege to do this work.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In each session, the most important thing I can do is to be present and listen. I am genuinely curious and interested in you. In the first session especially, I believe people come in carrying a heavy load, and I will listen and be patient while you set it down and begin to sort it out. From there, we will make a plan together on how to proceed.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

What I have to offer in addition to my education and experience is kindness, patience, sincerity, empathy, compassion, optimism, and hope.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I am here to be supportive when life feels overwhelming or stressful. I am here to listen when you need to talk. My role is not to tell you what to do, it is to walk beside you as you navigate your own journey. I will give suggestions and ideas, help you identify and work toward your goals, and I will try to offer a fresh perspective. I will also offer tools to help build healthy coping strategies and self-confidence.

My treatment methods

Positive Psychology

I am a firm believer that we all have the power within us to live more positive, more meaningful lives. Positive psychology is one component of the supportive therapeutic relationship I build with my clients.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

The way we think affects the way we live. I help my clients examine their thought patterns and establish new, positive, healthy perspectives and pathways on their journey of healing and personal growth.

Strength-Based

I help my clients to identify, utilize, and build upon the strengths they already possess. This helps to build a sense of confidence and empowerment to work toward their goals, dreams, and personal growth.
