I have experience with helping individuals who have suffered trauma, major life changes/challenges, conflict and other stressors that have negatively impacted their lives. I have a passion for helping others work through past pain so that they can improve their future. My goal for every individual I serve is to help them become their strongest version. I strive to create a safe and healthy space for everyone and meet everyone with compassion. I utilize several evidence-based therapy techniques and some humor now and then. Taking the step towards engaging in therapy can be extremely difficult and scary, but it is one of the best decisions you can make for yourself.

Juan is a licensed mental health professional authorized to practice in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Florida, bringing over 13 years of dedicated experience in the field. Throughout his career, he has mentored numerous therapists, guiding them toward achieving independent and clinical licensure. He has also shared his expertise as a lecturer on psychopathology at Rutgers University. Certified as an addictions counselor and a sex therapist, Juan is equipped to address a wide range of mental health concerns. While he is capable of working with clients of all ages, he particularly prefers working with adult individuals and couples, both in individual and partnership therapy settings.

I offer traditional talk therapy, EMDR, Direct neurofeedback, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) somatic work, Mindful Self-compassion techniques, Relaxation Techniques, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT tapping), Mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills. I have experience with trauma, mood issues, life changes, and substance use disorders.
