About me

Hi, I’m Jenna! I’m licensed in Colorado and Florida and will soon be licensed in California. Over the past 14 years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting people as they work through stress and anxiety, relationship challenges, low motivation, self-esteem and confidence struggles, and depression. I believe in meeting every person with respect, compassion, and genuine care. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where we can explore what you’re going through and tailor the process to your unique needs. Beginning September 27th, 2025, I’ll also be offering hypnotherapy as another tool to support healing and growth. Reaching out for help takes courage, and I’d be honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is really about connection. It’s a chance for us to get to know each other and for you to share what’s been going on in your life in a space that feels safe, supportive, and judgment-free. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, the goals you’d like to work toward, and any specific challenges you want to focus on. I may ask about your background and current experiences to get a fuller picture, but the pace is always set by you. This time is just as much for you to ask questions, share your preferences, and get a feel for how I work as it is for me to understand your needs. Together, we’ll start shaping a roadmap that feels realistic and empowering, so you leave that first session with clarity and hope for what’s ahead.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my approach is the genuine, non-judgmental space I create for every client. I know how important it is to feel safe enough to be open and vulnerable, and I work hard to make sure you never feel criticized or dismissed. True growth happens when you can be honest about your experiences, and I’m here to support that process with compassion and respect. I also recognize that therapy isn’t “one size fits all,” so I customize my approach to fit who you are: your background, personality, and the unique challenges you’re facing. I pride myself on being a thoughtful and present listener, giving you the space to share fully without interruption unless it’s therapeutically helpful. Clients often tell me that this combination of safety, flexibility, and deep listening helps them feel understood and supported in ways they haven’t experienced before.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve adults who are motivated to make meaningful changes and want to feel more balanced, confident, and fulfilled in their daily lives. Many of the people I work with are young professionals navigating the demands of career, relationships, and personal growth, but I also support individuals at any stage of life who are seeking healthier coping skills, stress relief, and a stronger sense of self. My focus is on meeting you where you are, understanding your unique goals, and working together to create practical, evidence-based strategies that support long-term growth and well-being.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In our sessions, we use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or CBT, as a framework to understand and address the challenges you're facing. It's all about recognizing the link between your thoughts, feelings, and actions. We work together to identify and challenge any negative thought patterns that might be influencing how you feel and behave. By doing this, we can develop healthier, more balanced ways of thinking, which can lead to positive changes in your emotions and actions. It's a collaborative process where we explore and reshape your thought processes to improve your overall well-being.

Daialectical Behavior (DBT)

In our sessions, we incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy, or DBT, as a powerful tool to help you navigate and manage difficult emotions and behaviors. DBT involves a balance between accepting where you are right now and working towards positive change. We'll focus on building specific skills, like emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, and mindfulness. These skills are designed to empower you in handling life's challenges more effectively. Our work together is about creating a dialectic, finding a balance between acceptance and change, so you can build a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

Motivational Interviewing

In our therapy sessions, I integrate a technique called Motivational Interviewing, or MI, which is all about exploring and resolving any ambivalence you might have regarding the changes you want to make. Instead of imposing solutions, I work collaboratively with you, asking open-ended questions and actively listening to your thoughts and concerns. This approach helps us uncover your own motivations and reasons for change. By understanding and enhancing your intrinsic motivation, we can work together to set achievable goals and create a plan that feels right for you. It's a supportive and empowering process that respects your autonomy and helps you move toward positive change at your own pace.

Psychodynamic

In our sessions, I incorporate Psychodynamic Therapy, a method that delves into the deeper layers of your experiences and thoughts. We'll explore how your unconscious mind, shaped by past experiences and relationships, influences your current thoughts and behaviors. This approach is about gaining insight into the root causes of your challenges and understanding how patterns from the past might be impacting your present. Through open dialogue and exploration, we can uncover hidden motivations, address unresolved issues, and work towards a deeper understanding of yourself. It's a process that can lead to profound insights, personal growth, and positive changes in how you navigate your life.
