I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida with over ten years of professional experience.
I believe that everyone can benefit from counseling. We all have situations and phases of our lives where it's helpful to have a neutral sounding board. We can all benefit from having a person who listens and really hears what we're saying and a place we feel safe to say anything at all without fear of judgment.
Whether you are struggling with a long-term problem or you're trying to navigate a new situation, I can provide the space and support you need as we work together toward your goals.
I have been working in the counseling field for the past 10 years. I started out as a counseling intern and have worked my way up to supervising other clinicians. My passion has been in trauma work and I have spent my 10 years in the field with a focus on trauma-informed care working at a certified rape crisis center. I have worked with people of all ages and genders and particularly enjoy helping clients build self-esteem, find new ways to think about issues, and build healthy boundaries in their lives.
I’m a bilingual (English/Spanish) woman, a proud veteran, and someone who knows what it’s like to carry invisible weight. I became a mental health counselor because I believe in real conversations, trust built over time, and having a space where you don’t have to hide what you’re feeling.
People who work with me often say they feel like they can finally exhale. I bring calm, compassion, and honesty into the room. I’m not here to judge or tell you how to live your life. I’m here to walk beside you as you figure things out—whether that’s making sense of the past, dealing with hard relationships, or just trying to feel more like yourself again.
I’ve worked with people who didn’t even realize how much they were holding in until they had someone to talk to. I know that reaching out can feel scary or uncomfortable. That’s okay. You don’t need to have everything figured out to start. You don’t need to call what you’re feeling “trauma” or “anxiety” if that doesn’t feel right to you. All you need is the sense that something needs to shift—and the willingness to take that first step.
Outside of work, I’m grounded by my own healing practices, community, and culture. I value humor, kindness, and realness. You don’t have to show up as anyone but yourself.
If you’re reading this and wondering if things could be different—you’re not alone. And you don’t have to go through it alone.

Our life path is full of ups and downs with unexpected twists and turns. We learn to develop a way of coping whether it is a positive or negative method to help deal with stressors or adapt to change. However, the majority of the time, we fall back on what we are accustomed to when dealing with a stressful situation or unexpected change; such as becoming confused, frustrated, emotional, withdrawing, angry, combative, or ignoring the situation and hoping the situation will just magically disappear or be resolved. Sometimes we need assistance to develop positive coping skills to deal with an unexpected changes or stressful situations.
