LMHC, 24 years of experience
Hello. I am Eddie Are you sick of being tense, anxious, and jittery all the time? Tired of having trembling, sweaty hands? Do you wish to be free of the dread and terror you have been experiencing? Do you have issues with your interpersonal relationships? Is it tough for you and your spouse to agree on even the most basic issues? Do you have trouble finding joy and happiness? I have spent the last 20 years of my profession assisting others in discovering their inner strength. Assisting them in becoming more confident. I have dedicated my work to assisting people in becoming more self-aware, assertive, and ready to be vulnerable. Every day, I utilize my expertise, experience, and abilities to teach people how to create effective coping methods for dealing with life's daily stresses. My work path has given me several opportunities to engage with people from various ethnic backgrounds. I usually employ a multifaceted strategy based on cognitive behavioral approaches. I like challenging erroneous beliefs and encouraging innovative thinking. I will help you believe in yourself for the strength to improve your life. My objective is to educate you on how to assist yourself, rely on yourself, and trust yourself. I will show you how to make the best decisions for your life while remaining confident. It will not be simple; a successful outcome will be well worth your effort. Do you need assistance with anxiety, relationship problems, depression, or substance abuse? I cannot guarantee to cure all your problems or to have all the answers, but I can promise to share all my abilities with you while assisting you to explore, grow, and learn. With that stated, I am excited to meet you. Let's get started.
I say a brief hello and go over therapeutic definitions before we start our first session together. I am interested in learning about your expectations for treatment and your definition of therapy. After listening to your definition and expectations, I will share mine. After those initial discussions, we will discuss the particular issues you are having. I will design a plan that is specifically designed to address your needs.
Throughout our sessions, I will communicate with you in a client-centered, nonjudgmental manner. I want you to know how much you are valued. The traits I cherish the most are those that enable you to feel comfortable. My ability to help couples experiencing conflict in their relationship, help individuals experiencing anxiety understand what is happening to them, and help individuals suffering from depression realize they, too, can experience life's joy sets me apart from other providers. I do this by employing a nonjudgmental, client-centered approach.
I especially enjoy working with individuals and couples who are struggling to manage the stresses of daily life. They feel that their relationships are in danger, are having problems in their personal lives, and are having a hard time finding joy in the little things in life. My interest is helping people discover fulfilling and comfortable careers by helping those who feel stuck or overworked in their current careers.

My husband and I don’t communicate well not even a little bit. We just had our first session with Dr. Collins and he seems very authentic and solution oriented. He listens and gave us things to put into place to try to achieve our level of communication. I’m looking forward to our next session.
I provide a space where we get real about the thoughts that are holding you back. Many people walk around carrying beliefs that aren’t true—about themselves, their worth, their future—and those beliefs create stress, anxiety, and a sense of being stuck. Together, we slow things down, look at those thoughts, and ask, “Where’s the proof?” Most of the time, the story you’ve been telling yourself doesn’t hold up. And when you start to see that clearly, everything shifts. You feel lighter, more in control, and more capable of making the changes you’ve been wanting to make.
