Starting therapy can feel empowering, confusing, or even intimidating—and it’s worth taking a moment to recognize the courage it takes to take this first step toward caring for your mental health. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where you can explore challenges related to anxiety, depression, self-care, and more. My goal is to help you strengthen communication and boundaries with yourself and others so that you can improve your quality of life and move toward the future you envision. Therapy is not just about overcoming obstacles—it’s also about personal growth. Together, we’ll clarify your goals and identify strategies to help you move toward them, whether that means change over the next month, six months, or a year. You’ll leave our sessions with practical insights and “next steps” you can put into action right away. I believe life’s purpose isn’t simply to be happy, but to find meaning—and within that meaning, joy emerges. While the journey isn’t always easy, it can be transformative. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Addictions Professional, Internationally Certified Drug Counselor, and Behavior Analyst. I take a strength-based approach, helping you use your unique abilities to address challenges. I am a licensed mental health counselor with six years of experience who believes that healing begins with connection. My approach is grounded in authenticity and the cultivation of a genuine therapeutic relationship. I enjoy supporting individuals who are navigating life transitions, experiencing emotional overwhelm, or seeking a deeper connection with themselves, others, or their purpose. Whether you’re feeling stuck, burnt out, or simply ready for change. I offer a calm, supportive space where you can slow down, reflect, and reconnect with your inner strengths. My person-centered approach blends Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused techniques to support sustainable, meaningful growth. I see therapy not as a process of “fixing,” but as one of deep understanding, alignment, and empowerment. My style is direct but compassionate. The impact I aim to leave is more than symptom relief; it’s about helping you build resilience, clarity, and confidence that lasts beyond our sessions. I hope that you leave each conversation feeling more grounded, more seen, and more capable of creating the life you want.

Hi, I'm Ricardo. I'm a Hispanic man who's done my own work in therapy to figure out who I am and who I want to be—which is a big part of why I do this work today. I went into counseling field because I kept seeing people who felt unheard or misunderstood by the people around them, often carrying more than anyone realized. That's especially true for a lot of men and teenage boys I've worked with—individuals who feel like they're supposed to be strong, keep things to themselves, or handle things alone, but who rarely have a space to actually talk about what's underneath that. I grew up seeing some of those same pressures and unhealthy patterns around what it means to "be a man," and part of my work now is helping men and boys move away from those roles and into a healthier, more grounded version of who they are—as partners, providers, sons, and people. I especially enjoy working with teenage boys who are figuring out who they are, often at an age when it's hard to talk to the adults around them about what's really going on. I try to meet them where they are—not lecturing, not judging—so they actually want to keep showing up and talking. For parents: if your son is pulling away, shutting down, or you're just not sure how to reach him right now, that's exactly the kind of thing we can work through together. Outside of the therapy room, I'm endlessly curious—I love traveling, learning about different cultures, sports, and music (I play a bit of guitar). I think that mix of curiosity, care, and having done some of my own work is a lot of what I bring into the room with clients.

Everyday is a series of small revolutions, realizations, adjustments, and changes that expand and contract within our beings. Therapy is a place to release, process, unpack, and unwind. Essentially, it's space to breathe and reconnect. Show yourself kindness and compassion. You do deserve the best life has to offer! I have 12 years of clinical experience working with teens, young adults and adults. In addition to working with common mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, interpersonal challenges, etc., I have broader experience working with children of divorce, trauma, grief and LGBTQAI+ populations. We all have a fundamental need to feel known, cared for and understood and I am honored to have a career in which I can be that person for others. The therapeutic process is hard to explain and better to be experienced. As we feel known, cared for and understood by not only another but with time, ourselves, it’s a special kind of magic that can bring about deep healing and shifts. A little bit about me; I was born and raised in Miami, Florida and have also lived in Boston, Massachusetts and Boulder, Colorado. I am now back home, married and a mother of two wild and wonderful boys. Some things that I love are music, nature, hidden gems, good food, deep talks, movies, a good workout, and adventure!

I am a therapist who values the courage it takes to seek help and take the first step toward working on yourself. I understand that life can become overwhelming, and that responsibilities, personal experiences, cultural background, education, or simply being in survival mode can sometimes get in the way of prioritizing your emotional well-being. Therefore, I offer a space where people can slow down, better understand the patterns behind what they feel, and learn how to navigate life with more clarity, emotional balance, and self-understanding rather than constantly feeling like they are just trying to survive through it.

I am a licensed mental health counselor providing therapy to adolescents, adults, and families in a supportive and collaborative environment. My practice is grounded in a person-centered approach, emphasizing empathy, unconditional positive regard, and a strong therapeutic relationship where clients feel heard, respected, and accepted without judgment. I also integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused techniques to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, build on their strengths, and develop practical strategies for change. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, and self-esteem concerns. In sessions, I support clients in exploring their thoughts and emotions, gaining insight into patterns that may be contributing to distress, and identifying realistic and meaningful goals. Using CBT, we focus on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, while also practicing coping skills, cognitive reframing, and emotional regulation strategies. Through a Solution-Focused lens, I help clients recognize their existing strengths, resilience, and past successes to guide goal setting and create forward movement. This approach encourages clients to envision their preferred future and take small, achievable steps toward positive change. By combining these approaches, I tailor treatment to meet each client’s unique needs and experiences. My goal is to empower clients to increase self-awareness, improve emotional well-being, strengthen relationships, and build confidence in managing life’s challenges. I believe therapy is a collaborative process where clients are active participants in their growth. Hi, I'm Clarisa, a licensed therapist (LMHC) based in Florida. I was born in Venezuela and grew up in Miami, and I work with a lot of clients who are navigating identity, family expectations, or the push and pull of straddling two cultures, because I've lived that too. Outside the therapy room, you'll usually find me working out, cooking recipes I see on social media, spending time with friends and family, or unapologetically binging a TV show. I'm bilingual in English and Spanish, currently finishing my Doctorate in Psychology, and I also have a background in psychological evaluations, but what matters more day to day is that I show up curious, warm, and genuinely in your corner, not just taking notes.

I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor. I am a former school counselor who spent over 20 years helping students and their families work corporately to identify and manage feelings and behaviors that impacted daily functioning. I graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor's degree in teaching and completed my graduate work in counseling at Florida International University and Barry University. My passion for being in this field comes from believing that every individual should have a safe space to work through life challenges while feeling supported.

Hello, my name is Justine Nyman. I want to thank you for taking the time to seek support. It is not easy to reach out or even realize that counseling/support is needed. So, I welcome you to therapy. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida. I have 10 years' experience and continue to grow in my therapeutic approaches and my knowledge as a therapist. I create an environment where the client feels comfortable and open to emotional vulnerability. In order to express ourselves and be open with our struggles we need to feel comfortable in the therapeutic process. I use acceptance with my clients and don't judge them based on their history or their current choices. I want the client to feel that they can start their journey, set goals, use coping skills, and improve their overall well-being. Counseling is a process and takes time. Some individuals require more time than others and that is okay. I believe in moving with the pace of the client, through setting goals and practicing tools is essential for change. In order to feel change, we need to make changes in our everyday lives. If we don't initiate changes, it becomes a struggle to move forward. "Practice makes permanent" I look forward to working with you on your journey of growth, mastery, and success.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 12 years of experience supporting adults through cancer, survivorship, caregiving, and other major life and medical transitions. My work often focuses on the emotional and relational impact of these experiences—including anxiety, grief, changes in identity and body image, relationship concerns, and shifts in intimacy and sexual health. I also work with adults who want to better understand themselves and the patterns that show up in their relationships, especially during times of change, uncertainty, or stress. I also specialize in sexual health and intimacy, supporting individuals who are navigating desire differences, sexual shame, body image concerns, or changes related to illness, stress, aging, or past experiences. These can be difficult topics to talk about, but they are an important part of emotional and relational well-being—and they deserve thoughtful, non-judgmental care. My approach to therapy is collaborative, relational, and tailored to your unique needs. Therapy with me isn’t about fixing you—it’s about helping you better understand what you’re carrying, reconnect with your strengths, and move forward with more clarity, self-compassion, and intention.

Are you looking for a space to navigate current stressors—somewhere you can unwind and express thoughts or emotions that feel too heavy to carry alone? Do you want support in understanding mental health symptoms or building a personalized toolbox of coping skills? Hi, I’m Maryam. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, born and raised, and of Venezuelan descent. I’m bilingual in English and Spanish. I graduated from the University of South Florida with degrees in Psychology and Health Sciences and later earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida Gulf Coast University. My clinical experience includes working in mobile crisis response, outpatient counseling, addiction treatment, and telehealth therapy. Across all settings, my priority is to create a non-judgmental, safe, and welcoming environment where you can work toward your goals at a pace that feels right for you. I take a holistic approach and integrate a variety of therapeutic interventions, including art and music-inspired techniques, cognitive reframing to challenge negative self-talk, solution-focused strategies, and what I like to call “care-frontation.” I often offer optional tasks or reflections between sessions to help deepen your progress. I’d be honored to support you as we begin this healing journey together.

My journey as a therapist began with a deep fascination for the human mind and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in people's lives after growing up in the foster care system. I previously served in the Air Force, serving my country. I have a bachelor's in dietetics and nutrition with years of nutrition counseling as well. Over the years, I have honed my skills, gaining experience in various therapeutic techniques and approaches to better serve my clients.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
