Hi, I’m Cornelia. (Hablo Espanol) I know it is not easy to speak to a stranger about the hardest things we are going through. I commend you for stepping out of your comfort zone and seeking therapy. I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) since 2008. I am qualified to provide therapy/counseling to those who live in Florida. I do not prescribe medication because I am not a psychiatrist. I can refer you to one if needed. I have worked with individuals who suffer from anxiety, depression, grief, adjustment and life transitions, women's issues, weight difficulties, addictions, chronic/terminal illness and caregiver burnout. I acknowledge your journey and will teach positive ways to deal with difficulties that are serving as obstacles preventing you from transforming your life.
The first session provides an opportunity for me to learn more about you and the different areas of your life. It is also an opportunity to ask questions about therapy and how I may best help you. I make the setting a comfortable and safe one.
My biggest strength is that I am an active listener, empathetic and transparent. I have strong boundaries and ethics. I will always look out for your best interest. I have extensive experience working with adults that may be dealing with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, body image, life transitions and adjustment, trauma, chronic/terminal illness and caregiver burnout. Cornelia really listens She gets my personality and through the course of the session she adapts her insights and recommendations to better help my situation She doesn’t have a one size fits all approach but recognizes my personality and life experiences need to be considered Therapy is new for me and Cornelia just makes it feel like I’m talking to a friend who cares!

When I was looking for a provider, I wanted to find experience and longevity doing the job. When I came across Mrs Mayor and looked her up, it gave me the confidence that I needed to proceed. I had tried 4 different therapist before and after my first session, I knew I couldn’t continue with them. Completely different with Mrs Mayor, I’m looking forward to continue getting treatment with her.
