The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths lie in my compassion and empathy, which allow me to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard and understood. With 9 years of hospice experience, I bring strong clinical expertise in end-of-life care, grief, and complex emotional needs. I am skilled in evidence-based approaches, including CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing, and I tailor interventions to each client’s unique situation. I also excel at building collaborative therapeutic relationships, helping clients feel engaged and motivated, while maintaining resilience and professionalism in emotionally challenging situations.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve clients who are motivated to engage in self-reflection and personal growth while seeking practical tools to manage stress, anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions. I have a particular interest in supporting individuals who are newly diagnosed with a terminal illness, coping with grief and loss, facing end-of-life concerns, or receiving hospice care. I work well with clients navigating emotional regulation challenges, relationship difficulties, and significant life changes. My ideal clients are open to exploring their thoughts and emotions, willing to practice new coping strategies, and interested in building resilience, finding meaning, and improving their overall well-being and quality of life.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is one of the primary approaches I use in practice. I help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, understand how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected, and develop healthier coping strategies. I use techniques such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and problem-solving skills to support clients with concerns such as anxiety, depression, and stress. My approach is collaborative, goal-oriented, and tailored to each client's individual needs.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use DBT to help clients manage intense emotions, improve interpersonal effectiveness, and reduce self-destructive behaviors. I teach skills in mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness, tailoring strategies to each client’s needs. My approach is collaborative and structured, focusing on building practical skills for long-term emotional stability and healthier relationships.

Grief Therapy

I use grief therapy to support clients as they process bereavement, life transitions, and other significant losses. My approach provides a safe, compassionate space for clients to explore their emotions, develop healthy coping strategies, and adapt to changes in their lives. Treatment is tailored to each individual's unique experience, with a focus on healing, resilience, and finding meaning after loss.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I use mindfulness-based therapy to help clients cultivate present-moment awareness, reduce stress, and improve emotional regulation. Through practices like meditation, breathing exercises, and mindful reflection, I guide clients in observing their thoughts and feelings without judgment, building resilience, and enhancing overall well-being. Sessions are tailored to each client’s needs and goals.
