The initial session serves as an intake and an opportunity for us to establish a therapeutic foundation. During this time, we will review your personal history, current stressors and how you typically manage them, what is bringing you to therapy now and existing support systems. This is also a chance for you to share your expectations/goals for therapy and discuss any prior experiences you may have had. If you have been in therapy before, we will also discuss what has been helpful for you in the past . My goal is to listen to your story and collaborate with you on a path forward with an approach that is specific to your individual needs.
