New to Grow
I am committed to providing compassionate, practical, and client-centered care to individuals navigating life’s challenges. I strive to create a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to grow. My approach integrates evidence-based therapies with empathy, collaboration, and a focus on helping clients build healthier, more meaningful lives. My technique is to bring in laughter where appropriate, but also to challenge you.
The first session is a relaxed, introductory meeting focused on getting to know you and understanding what brought you to therapy. We will discuss your past and present experiences, and I will ask questions that go beyond the questionnaires completed before the appointment. By the end of the session, we will review your goals for treatment and discuss how I can best support you moving forward.
I have worked in the mental health field for over 15 years and have experience across a wide variety of treatment settings. This background has given me the opportunity to support individuals from many different walks of life and understand the unique challenges they face. I integrate multiple evidence-based approaches to provide personalized, high-quality care tailored to each client’s needs. With commitment, consistency, and a willingness to engage in the process, meaningful growth and progress are possible.
My ideal client is someone who is high-functioning, overwhelmed, duty-driven, and carrying more than others realize. The person is balancing career pressures, family responsibilities, and emotional well-being. This person is a high-achieving individual who appears successful outwardly but feels emotionally exhausted internally. They are most likely experiencing chronic stress, perfectionism, or burnout. This person is probably struggling with anxiety, grief, trauma, stress management, or life transitions. This client would be looking for empathy without coddling, accountability without judgment, and practical progress instead of endless venting.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. CBT is a practical, goal-oriented approach that helps identify unhealthy thinking patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and build effective problem-solving and communication skills. Treatment focuses on present challenges while providing tools clients can apply in everyday life to support long-term emotional well-being.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I use ACT to help clients develop psychological flexibility by learning to accept difficult thoughts and emotions rather than avoiding or fighting them. ACT focuses on mindfulness, self-awareness, and values-based action, helping clients respond to challenges in healthier ways while building a more meaningful and purposeful life.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use DBT to help clients build healthy coping skills for managing intense emotions, stress, and relationships. DBT combines acceptance and change strategies while teaching mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness to support greater emotional balance and daily functioning.
Faith based therapy
I offer faith-based treatment that integrates spiritual beliefs and values into the therapeutic process when desired by the client. This approach combines evidence-based counseling techniques with faith, prayer, and spiritual reflection to support emotional healing, personal growth, and overall well-being in a compassionate and respectful environment.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I incorporate Mindfulness techniques to help clients increase self-awareness, manage stress, and remain present in the moment. Mindfulness-based approaches support emotional regulation, reduce anxiety, and encourage healthier responses to difficult thoughts, emotions, and life experiences.
