Hi, I'm Jacob. I specialize in helping adults heal from trauma, anxiety, depression, and stress. I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can show up exactly as you are—without judgment or pressure to have everything figured out. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where we can work together to understand what you're carrying, build on your strengths, and help you move toward lasting healing. My passion for this work comes from my own life experiences. As a young person, I lived through significant trauma, including abuse and profound loss. Like many people, I searched for ways to cope before I had healthy support. My healing journey began when I started serving others, which eventually led me to become an EMDR therapist. Experiencing EMDR for myself transformed the way I understood healing and inspired me to pursue advanced training and certification. Today, I use EMDR alongside a client-centered approach, always meeting you where you are. I believe healing is possible, even when it doesn't feel that way right now. Together, we'll work at a pace that feels comfortable while helping you process difficult experiences, build practical coping skills, and create meaningful change in your life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, and it's normal to feel unsure about what to expect. You don't need to have the right words or know exactly where to begin. Our first session is simply an opportunity for us to get to know each other. I'll take time to understand what brings you to therapy, learn about your goals, and answer any questions you may have. Most importantly, we'll begin building a space where you feel heard, respected, and supported from the very beginning.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I understand that trauma affects much more than emotions. It can influence your relationships, confidence, physical well-being, sense of safety, and the way you experience everyday life. My approach focuses on helping your mind and body heal together rather than simply managing symptoms. Using EMDR therapy and a compassionate, collaborative approach, I help clients process experiences that may still feel unresolved so they can move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and peace. My own healing journey allows me to bring genuine empathy, hope, and understanding to our work together. I believe healing is possible, and you don't have to face it alone.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with adults who are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and difficult life experiences. Whether you've experienced recent events or long-standing challenges, I strive to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and empowered to heal. My goal is to help you move beyond surviving so you can reconnect with yourself, your relationships, and the life you want to live.

My treatment methods

EMDR

Hi! I'm a dedicated therapist specializing in trauma, anxiety, depression, and stress management, I am committed to helping you navigate and heal from life’s heaviest challenges. My practice is rooted in a client-centered approach, meaning I prioritize your unique needs and always strive to "meet you where you're at" on your mental health journey. Together, we will work collaboratively to uncover your strengths, process difficult experiences, and develop practical tools for healing

Christian Counseling

For many, faith is not just a part of life—it is the foundation of how we see ourselves, our relationships, and the world. When facing emotional pain, anxiety, or life transitions, trying to separate your mental health from your spiritual foundation can feel incomplete. My approach to Christian counseling ensures you never have to leave your faith at the door to get high-quality, professional psychological care

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT doesn't ask you to just "think positive" or pretend everything is fine. Instead, it provides a safe, structured space to look at those heavy, automatic thoughts with kindness and curiosity rather than judgment. By gently untangling the connections between what you think, how you feel, and how you react, CBT helps you quiet the internal noise. It gives you practical tools to reclaim your narrative, offering a clear path back to emotional balance, resilience, and peace of mind.
