Do you find yourself overthinking, questioning your decisions, or repeating patterns that leave you feeling frustrated or emotionally exhausted? Perhaps you've been carrying the weight of past experiences while trying to manage everything happening in your life today. I'm a mental health counselor licensed in Florida and South Carolina. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and significant life transitions.
You don't have to stay stuck in the patterns that brought you here. Together, we can work toward healing, clarity, and meaningful change.
My therapeutic style is compassionate, direct, and solution-focused. I believe therapy should be more than simply talking about problems. It's an opportunity to understand yourself, recognize patterns that may be holding you back, and develop practical tools to create meaningful change. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where we can explore difficult experiences at a pace that respects your needs. When appropriate, I incorporate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help process distressing experiences. My goal is to help you gain clarity, strengthen your confidence, and move toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.
First session
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. We'll discuss your current concerns, relevant experiences, and what you hope to achieve. I'll ask questions to better understand your needs, but you won't be pressured to share more than you're comfortable discussing. Together, we'll begin identifying treatment goals and exploring an approach that makes sense for you. My goal is for you to leave the session feeling heard, understood, and more confident about the direction of our work together.
Strengths
Through our work together, my hope is that you'll develop a deeper understanding of yourself and feel better equipped to navigate life's challenges. We'll focus on building emotional awareness, reducing distress, strengthening confidence, establishing healthier boundaries, and changing patterns that no longer serve you. Progress looks different for everyone. My role is to support you in creating meaningful, sustainable changes aligned with your personal goals.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is someone who feels overwhelmed by anxiety, self-doubt, past experiences, or recurring patterns that seem difficult to change. They may struggle with overthinking, emotional exhaustion, relationship challenges, or feeling stuck despite their best efforts to move forward. They want to better understand themselves, develop healthier coping strategies, and regain a sense of confidence and control in their lives. I enjoy working with individuals who are open to self-exploration and willing to take meaningful steps toward change, even when they aren't sure where to begin. My goal is to help clients process difficult experiences, recognize their strengths, and build practical skills that support lasting emotional well-being and healthier relationships.
Treatment methods
EMDR
I incorporate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients process distressing experiences that continue to affect their emotions, beliefs, and behaviors. EMDR can be especially helpful for individuals struggling with trauma, anxiety, negative self-beliefs, or recurring emotional patterns. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and tailored to each client's needs. We begin by building trust, developing emotional regulation skills, and ensuring you feel prepared before moving into deeper processing. Through EMDR, we work to reduce the emotional intensity of difficult memories, shift unhelpful beliefs, and support healthier responses to present-day challenges. My goal is to help you move beyond simply coping with past experiences toward greater emotional freedom, confidence, and lasting change.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. CBT is especially helpful for individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, self-doubt, overthinking, and unhelpful behavioral patterns. My approach is collaborative, practical, and solution-focused. Together, we'll identify thought patterns and beliefs that may be contributing to emotional distress, challenge unhelpful thinking, and develop healthier ways of responding to life's challenges. I also incorporate practical coping strategies and skills that clients can apply outside of therapy. My goal is to help you gain greater self-awareness, manage difficult emotions more effectively, and build lasting skills that support confidence, emotional balance, and meaningful change.
