You may have heard things like, “Just move on,” “let it go,” or “that’s in the past.” But if the pain is still there, if your heart feels heavy, if it affects your daily life, if you have to pretend everything is fine, or if it takes great effort just to get through your responsibilities, you may be experiencing trauma-related responses.
Therapy offers a safe and supportive space where you can process what you’ve been through, validate your emotions, and develop healthy ways to heal and move forward. A trauma-focused approach allows us to work gently and effectively with your experiences while strengthening your emotional stability and sense of control.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), bilingual in English and Spanish, with extensive experience providing trauma-focused individual therapy. I earned my Master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University in Miami, Florida, and have been practicing as a mental health professional since 2017. Prior to working in the United States, I obtained my Bachelor’s degree and practiced as a Psychotherapist in Cuba for eight years.
I am dedicated to helping you through your journey of discovering a better you, or perhaps, regaining the you that you may have lost through difficult times. I like to view life as a book. Like any book, our life has chapters. Some of these chapters are happy, some are sad, some have successes that we can be proud of, and some are chapters we would not want anyone else to ever read. It is true that we cannot go back and change these chapters, but we can learn and grow from them, and you know what? The next chapter is unwritten and waiting to be your best chapter yet!

A bit about me; I am Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have approximately 6 years of clinical experience. I’m a counselor who believes that healing begins with connection—with yourself, your pain, and the meaning you give to your life. My approach is rooted in existential therapy, which means I help people explore the deeper “why” behind their struggles, choices, and patterns. Together, we look at questions of purpose, freedom, and authenticity—not as abstract ideas, but as living experiences that shape how you relate to yourself and others.
At Rogue Counseling, I work with people who feel stuck between who they are and who they want to be. Maybe you’re tired of running from discomfort, or maybe you’re just ready to live with more intention. I don’t see therapy as fixing what’s broken—I see it as helping you reconnect with your own agency and meaning, even in the face of uncertainty.
My style is direct but compassionate. I draw from philosophy, psychology, and the realities of being human in a messy, complex world. I believe humor, curiosity, and courage belong in the therapy room just as much as pain and vulnerability.
If you’re ready to explore your own story and live more freely within it, I’ll walk that path with you—one honest conversation at a

I have been in the helping profession for over forty years, and I strive to embody authenticity both professionally and personally. I am an LGBTQ+ affirming sex and gender therapist, and I provide WPATH letters to those identifying as being of the transgender experience. My professional experience, as a former first responder, medical and clinical social worker, advocate, activist, educator, and private practice owner, has provided me with a wealth of knowledge and expertise spanning various levels of public service, including federal, state, and local roles. My counseling style is warm, interactive, and person-centered. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I provide all services via a HIPAA-compliant and secure web-based platform.

As a licensed clinical social worker, I am committed to collecting evidenced based "tools for my toolbox" to aid those grappling with finding the new normal after their world has shifted. I most love helping people find language to describe their losses, often when there has been difficulty finding the words, inspiring people to find hope again, and facilitate the development of a plan to move forward in a way that both honors their experiences and embraces the future.
I take an action-oriented, collaborative approach to therapy. I utilize a combination of psychoeducation, storytelling, and evidenced-based interventions to offer meaningful insight to support clients’ healing. I strongly believe that rock bottom is the foundation upon which we can rebuild our lives. We do regular check-ins to review progress along the way. Our goal is not to change the past, but instead to find some relief from symptoms that impact daily functioning. I will solicit feedback regularly during sessions for takeaways to gauge progress and curate treatment interventions based on what is most engaging and productive for the individual client.
