Welcome! My name is Alexis, and I have been in the behavioral health field for over 10 years. As a therapist, I believe in the power of optimism and the strength that comes from walking side by side with my clients on their journey of growth. My role is not to lead from ahead or push from behind, but to walk alongside you as you discover and embrace your best self. I focus on highlighting possibilities, strengths, and hope, even in challenging times.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first therapy session is simply a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what brings you in, what you’d like to work on, and I’ll explain how therapy works. You’ll have space to ask questions, and together we’ll start setting goals. Think of it as laying the foundation for a supportive, safe relationship where you can begin moving toward the changes you want.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength as a therapist is the way I combine optimism and support with the practical tools of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Optimism as a guiding light: I believe in the possibility of growth and change, even when life feels overwhelming. This perspective helps my clients see hope and potential where they may have only seen obstacles. Supportive presence: I walk alongside my clients, offering encouragement and compassion as they navigate challenges. My role is to create a safe space where they feel understood and empowered. CBT as a framework for change: By using CBT, I provide structured, evidence-based strategies that help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns and replace them with healthier, more balanced ways of thinking.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I really value when a patient comes in looking for encouragement, hope, and practical tools to help them move forward. Therapy with me is about building a partnership — and together we focus on finding your strengths and helping you move toward your best self.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

As your clinician, I use cognitive behavioral therapy because it’s one of the most effective and practical approaches to helping people feel better and make lasting changes in their lives. It’s evidence-based: CBT has been studied extensively and shown to work for many concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, and more. It focuses on skills you can use every day: Together, we’ll practice strategies like identifying unhelpful thoughts, reframing them, and building healthier coping habits. It’s present-focused: While your past experiences matter, CBT emphasizes what you can do now to improve your well-being. It empowers you: My goal is to help you feel more in control of your thoughts and emotions, so you can approach challenges with confidence.
