New to Grow
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I received my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. My therapeutic approach is empathic, compassionate, effective listening, Genuineness, solution focused, strength based perspective, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). I will help you to explore and get unstuck if you are feeling stuck in life. Fun fact- I enjoy dancing, listening to music, playing miniature golf, tennis, shopping, reading, and watching a good movie.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In the first session I take a moment to share a bit about how I approach our work together. My style is collaborative, and warm. I believe that therapy is most effective when it feels like a partnership where your experiences, insights, and goals guide the process, and I support you in exploring patterns, building coping strategies, and reconnecting with your strengths. Whether you're here to process something specific or you're not quite sure what you need yet, that’s okay. We can start wherever feels most natural to you. Some clients like to begin by sharing what’s been weighing on them recently, while others prefer to talk about their background or what brought them here. There’s no right way to begin.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My therapeutic approach fosters growth, healing, and positive change. My strengths are active listening, empathy, effective communication, building rapport, therapeutic expertise, problem solving, and cultural sensitivity.
