New to Grow
Hello, my name is Celina Piernik. I offer virtual therapy sessions, allowing you to connect from the comfort of your own space. With a background as both an educator and counselor, I’ve always been dedicated to supporting others. My work is shaped by personal and professional life experiences, and I understand that we all need support at different points in our journey. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and a Mindfulness-Based Approach to help individuals navigating anxiety, depression, grief, self-confidence, trauma, and women’s issues.
Our first session is about getting to know each other and beginning to build a connection. I’ll ask questions to better understand where you are emotionally, while listening closely so I can offer support, insight, and guidance as we start working toward your goals together.
My clients describe me as warm, calm, genuine, and compassionate. In our sessions, you’ll find a space where you can feel truly accepted and heard. Together, we’ll explore what’s getting in the way of your peace of mind and create new ways to cope, grow, and heal. I use a unified approach tailored to your needs, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Mindfulness, and Person-Centered Therapy.
“Do you ever feel like you’re carrying too much—worry, sadness, or memories you wish you could let go of?” Life can feel overwhelming at times, whether you’re a teen trying to find your place, or an adult juggling responsibilities and personal struggles. Many of my clients come to me feeling stuck in anxiety, weighed down by depression, processing grief, or struggling with self-confidence. If this sounds familiar, you don’t have to go through it alone.
In my virtual private practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help teens and adults identify unhelpful thought patterns and develop healthier ways of thinking and coping. Together, we explore the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and practice practical skills that can be applied in everyday life. Whether it’s helping a mom manage anxiety, guiding a teen through self-esteem challenges, or supporting an adult with stress or depression, I tailor CBT strategies to each client’s unique needs so they can build resilience and create lasting change.
I also use a mindfulness-based approach to help teens and adults become more present and aware of their thoughts and emotions without judgment. By practicing mindfulness techniques such as breathing exercises, grounding strategies, and gentle awareness of the body and mind, clients learn to manage stress, regulate emotions, and respond to challenges with greater calm and clarity. I adapt these practices to each client’s age and needs, offering practical tools they can carry into daily life to support balance, resilience, and overall well-being.
I use Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help individuals focus on their strengths and the possibilities for positive change. Together, we explore each client’s goals and build on what is already working in their lives, identifying practical steps they can take toward meaningful progress. By emphasizing solutions rather than problems, I support clients in developing confidence, resilience, and a clear vision for the future, while tailoring the approach to meet their unique needs and life stage.
I use a Supportive Therapy approach to provide a safe, compassionate space so you can share your experiences and feelings. Through encouragement, validation, and active listening, I help clients feel understood and supported as they navigate life’s challenges. This approach strengthens coping skills, builds self-confidence, and fosters resilience, allowing clients to feel more empowered and less alone in their journey toward growth and healing.
