About me

Welcome - I’m so glad you’re here! I’m Chelle, an LMHC in Florida, offering Telehealth services. Whether you're a couple navigating infidelity or chronic arguing, a woman recovering from trauma bonds, or a man looking to reconnect with a more emotionally authentic version of yourself, I'm here to help. I earned my MA in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the USF in 2009. I have extensive experience working with individuals and couples specializing in: Trauma Bonds Affair Recovery Men & Women Navigating Emotional & Relational Health Intimate Partner Betrayal & Recovery Domestic Violence/Abuse Recovery Navigating Divorce Post Separation Abuse Relationship Discernment I'm a trauma informed therapist & my primary treatment modalities include: Attachment Theory, Gottman & EFT. I am currently pursuing certification in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy. I integrate a mind-body-spirit perspective into my practice, recognizing that true healing happens on multiple levels. During our initial sessions, we will dive deep into the presenting problems to create plan that helps you get your life back. Therapy is a commitment; lasting change takes time & effort. Therapy with me is deep & compassionate. I will meet you where you are & tailor treatment based on your current struggles & long-term goals. Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session we will discuss treatment goals and expectations. I will answer any questions you may have regarding the treatment process. I will also ask a variety of questions related to your background, what your life currently entails, and gather any relevant information so that I have a good understanding of who you are and what makes you, well, you. This gives me the ability to provide you the best care possible and tailor a treatment plan specifically for you. Most of this session is information gathering and discussing what therapy is. I will also get a snapshot of what brings you to the therapy room, and what you hope to gain from our time together. This will help me address both short- and long-term goals with you and come up with a realistic, achievable treatment plan using evidence-based tools and resources to get you on a better path. Pacing is client dependent, meaning that we will work as quickly as clinically indicated, but at times some changes take longer than others depending on the person, and I will meet you where you are with that. There's no "right" way to heal, as everyone is unique in their personality and what their healing journey looks like. Therapy is a non-judgmental, supportive space to really unpack to get the help and support you need. Change is a process, so results don't happen overnight. Small steps in the right direction make the biggest differences over time.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am able to meet clients exactly where they are, as they are. What sets me apart as a therapist is my integrative, trauma-informed approach rooted in proven methods and a deep respect for each client’s unique journey. I draw from the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Attachment Theory, Trauma Informed Modalities and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), always tailoring treatment to the individual. My approach is holistic and flexible; I meet clients where they are, emotionally, psychologically and spiritually and we work collaboratively to create a path forward that feels both empowering and achievable. I strive to create a space where clients feel truly seen, heard, and understood, often for the first time. Many of my clients share that this experience alone is transformative. It helps them reconnect with their strengths, feel more in control of their lives, and make meaningful, lasting changes. Whether working through trauma, relationship challenges, or personal growth, I use evidence-based strategies to support healing, insight, and self-compassion. My own life story has led me to become even more compassionate and understanding to the struggles you are facing. When we've sat with our own wounds, we know what it feels like to be transparent, uncertain, and searching for safety. That awareness doesn't make me a perfect therapist, but it does make me more human, more attuned to the courage it takes for you to open up. I can offer the exact holding space you may need to process and progressively move towards healing.

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

I've been using trauma informed care in my practice for years. It has helped my clients restore a sense of calm in their daily lives. We'll use this to reconnect with your thoughts, feelings and body in a healthy way to overcome the impact trauma can have on your brain and body- ultimately leading to a restoration of trust and safety with yourself and those around you. Trauma informed care helps restore a state of rest and digest in your brain and replaces the tendency to operate in fight, flight, freeze or fawn mode on a day to day basis. Ultimately, shifting my clients experience in the world to a much more pleasurable and positive one.

Couples Counseling

Using Gottman Methodology, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Attachment Theory, couples I treat have increased understanding of one another, better communication with each other, and growth in their level of intimacy. These methods combined help those struggling with constant arguing and misunderstand, as well as those recovering from the aftermath of an affair that have chosen to rebuild, repair and restore their relationship.
