I am Irene Alvarez, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with a passion for supporting individuals and families through life's challenges. I work with children, adolescents, adults and families on issues such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma among others. My goal is to create a safe supportive space where clients feel heard and empowered to grow. I come from a background of working closely with children, families and individuals in the foster care system and other vulnerable populations. That experience has shaped how I show up- as someone who values trust, resilience, and the healing power of safe relationships. I bring that same level of dedication and trauma informed care to help people like you navigate life's complexities, find clarity, and create lasting change.

With a direct yet compassionate approach to therapy, I help clients identify issues that are causing distress in their lives. I have 36 years of experience and have written two books: "Bipolarized" and "Borderline" -- one on bipolar disorder and the other on borderline personality disorder. Many clients gain insight into their disorders through reading my books and identifying a list of issues to work on in therapy. Hypnotherapy is extremely valuable and I ask clients to record the sessions to listen to the recording every day. This reinforces positive messages to improve self-esteem, reduce anxiety, stress and depression and identify relevant issues on a subconscious level.

I view therapy through a holistic standpoint, in which I use the mind and the body to help you get to the wellness that you so deserve. I became a therapist because I wanted to help clients navigate the stresses of work and life and make meaningful changes that would improve their mental well-being. At the first session, you can expect a non-judgmental and an easy-going conversation to build up a therapeutic alliance. At the moment, I practice entirely over tele-health, giving us the flexibility to connect conveniently and safely. I received a Master's degree in family psychology, in 2010, from Hardin-Simmons University in Texas. I engage others by helping them feel comfortable while also being solution focused. I prescribe to a Cognitive behavioral approach which helps others see life's problems and solutions in a better light. I work with individuals ages 5-100, families, adolescents, marriage or relationship counseling, premarital counseling, and parents who need some guidance raising their children. Some areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, bipolar, problem solving, relationship specialist, communication skills, anger management, coping skills, relaxation exercises, and panic attacks.

Hi, I am a Licensed Mental Health Counsellor (LMHC) based in South Florida. I received my Masters from Nova Southeastern University in Florida and have been practicing for over 20 years. I help people of all ages struggling with symptoms of depression, anxiety and mood disorders by assiting them with developing coping skills that they can use to reduce and/or manage their symptoms better.

I have worked with adults, children and families for 30 years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my degree from Barry University. In the past, I also worked with young children through to adolescents as an educator. My strengths are in helping my clients to identify the key issues affecting them and in developing a path toward addressing these matters. I find working as a psychotherapist very rewarding because I can help people in such a meaningful way.
