Whether you are navigating life as a college student or entering a new chapter in young adulthood or later in your life, I can partner with you in these difficult times. You may be reinventing yourself and grieving over the life you thought you had. I work closely with clients to assist them in learning new techniques, developing new coping skills, and guiding them to solutions towards the wholeness they seek. Let's start the process of starting a new chapter in your life!
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
During therapy you can expect to learn more about yourself, reduce feelings of anxiety, increase self-esteem, and utilize tools that will help you find solutions to problems. I often give "homework" so you can practice what you've learned in between therapy sessions. When we begin working together we will discuss your goals and work together to map out a plan and take steps to move toward you being more excited about life. During each session you may explore issues that keep you stuck, gain insight, and learn new strategies.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solutions Focused Therapy, EMDR, Mindfulness techniques, and other modalities to meet clients where they are and to fit their unique needs.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My specialties include working with college students, young adults entering adulthood experiencing issues such as life transitions, stress, low self-worth, anxiety, adjustment disorders, depression and past trauma issues. I also enjoy helping adults experiencing work stress and burnout clarify their values about their work and determine if and how they need to set boundaries to improve their situation. I enjoy my work as a therapist, working alongside clients and so they can better manage their emotions, improve their lives, and ultimately find a balance.
