Welcome to a place of healing and growth! Here, therapy is affordable without sacrificing quality. Treating behavior alone does not resolve the root issue. I help individuals navigate challenging times by uncovering and healing underlying traumas, which in turn alleviates symptoms of depression and anxiety. I also offer compassionate guidance for adults facing the pain of relational betrayal and grief, equipping them with practical tools to heal and move forward. Most of my clients describe feeling lighter, more confident, and more empowered after just a few sessions. Together, we will work on practical tools so you can see real progress in your life-quickly and sustainably.
When working with me, the intake process is warm and welcoming, focusing on creating a safe space for clients to share their concerns. I begin by understanding your history, goals, and emotional needs. My approach is collaborative and compassionate, empowering clients to take an active role in their healing journey while building resilience and self-compassion. In our sessions, clients frequently share that they feel truly heard, supported, and safe to explore their emotions without fear of judgment. As we work together, they begin to notice tangible progress, equipped with practical tools and strategies to manage their challenges. They leave sessions feeling more grounded, empowered, and confident, knowing they have the skills to navigate whatever life throws their way.
My greatest strength as a provider is my ability to help clients identify actionable steps and develop strategies that align with their goals early in the therapeutic process. I focus on creating a space where clients can experience meaningful insights and start moving toward the changes they want to see in a relatively short amount of time. In supporting those navigating life's challenges, I have also developed the strength of helping my clients to feel heard and understood. My clients typically feel like they have a supportive ally, helping them to navigate whatever season of life they are in. Most importantly they are able to manage life in healthier ways, equipped with tangible and practical tools to do so.
I am best positioned to serve clients who have experienced relational betrayal, are navigating significant life transitions, or are grieving the loss of important relationships. I also specialize in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and symptoms of trauma. My approach is grounded in trauma-focused therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Somatic Experiencing, and Attachment-Based Therapy, all of which help clients heal emotional wounds, change unhelpful ways of thinking and behaving, and move forward with greater resilience and self-awareness.
I have used CBT to treat a wide range of issues from anxiety and depression to low self-esteem and unhelpful behaviors stemming from adverse childhood experiences. CBT has helped my clients recognize how certain situations and events trigger unhelpful thoughts, behavioral patterns, and emotions. With this information we have worked to become more self-aware, get to the root of why we're feeling the way we are, reduce and manage symptoms, and overall live a more empowered life. CBT has helped my clients to change their way of looking at previous problems and have allowed them to achieve goals they've always dreamed of.
In my experience as a grief therapist, I have had the privilege of providing grief therapy to a diverse range of individuals from seniors to children facing challenges of loss. My approach is rooted in empathy and understanding, acknowledging that grief manifests differently across the lifespan. My treatment method is always tailored to the unique needs of each individual, fostering resilience and healing in the face of profound loss.
I have used narrative therapy to help clients identify and change the harmful stories they tell themselves. This method has allowed those who work with me to see themselves in a more empowering light. I work with my clients to retell their stories, discovering times when they were resilient, strong, or capable, offering new perspectives on their identity and experiences.
In n my practice, I utilize Person-Centered Therapy to support clients struggling with anxiety, depression, challenging life transitions, and relationships. By creating a nonjudgmental, empathetic, and supportive environment, I empower clients to explore their thoughts and emotions deeply. This approach helps them regain their self-worth, heal from emotional distress, and build the confidence needed to accomplish the goals they've been striving to achieve. Through unconditional positive regard and genuine therapeutic relationships, clients are encouraged to reconnect with their inner strengths and move toward a more fulfilling life.
I have utilized Psychodynamic Therapy to increase self-awareness and understanding of the influence of the past on the present behavior and patterns of those I work with. With this approach we focus on how our early life experiences and unresolved conflicts influence present behavior and emotional states.
