New to Grow
I’m a therapist who feels it is an honor to witness clients’ most vulnerable stories and support them as they create meaningful change in their lives. I bring a warm, collaborative approach to my work, with directness when it’s helpful, and I value being present with clients in both the difficult and growth-filled moments. Compassion, authenticity, and growth guide my practice, and I care deeply about creating a space where clients feel seen and supported. I especially enjoy working with women’s issues, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and clients navigating OCD and anxiety. I became a therapist because I’ve seen firsthand the power of transformative therapy and how it can truly shape a person's life. I value taking time to understand each client’s story and walking alongside them as we process through it.
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and talk about what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask questions about what you’ve been experiencing, what feels most important to you right now, and what you’re hoping to get out of our work together. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out—we’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you. We’ll also start to build a shared understanding of your concerns and begin identifying goals that feel meaningful and manageable. My aim is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and with a clearer sense of how we might work together moving forward.
My greatest strengths as a therapist are creating a warm, safe, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly seen and heard, and being able to sit with people through difficult emotions without rushing the process. I bring a strong sense of compassion, authenticity, and steadiness to my work, while also offering directness when it’s helpful for growth and clarity. I also use humor when it fits, as a way to bring lightness into difficult moments and help clients feel more at ease. I’m skilled at helping clients make sense of complex experiences and translating that understanding into practical tools for change.
I’m best positioned to support people who are navigating anxiety, OCD, grief, and the ways these experiences can feel overwhelming or all-consuming at times. I often work with clients who are feeling stuck in patterns like intrusive thoughts, compulsions, avoidance, overthinking, or emotional heaviness after a loss, and who are looking for practical, compassionate ways to move forward. I also have a special passion for working with members of the LGBTQ+ community. I strive to offer a space that feels affirming, respectful, and grounded in understanding—where your identity is welcomed and not something you have to explain or defend. My approach tends to be a good fit for people who are open to doing active, skills-based work in therapy, while also wanting a supportive, collaborative relationship. Whether we’re using ERP, CBT, psychoeducation, or compassion-focused strategies, my goal is to help you build confidence, reduce suffering, and reconnect with a life that feels more steady, meaningful, and authentic.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help people better understand how their thoughts, feelings, and actions are all connected. In my practice, I like to use CBT as a way to help clients shift unhelpful thought patterns and start creating real, meaningful change in their lives. I believe that when we begin to change the way we think, we can change how we feel and how we show up in the world. This approach can be especially helpful for breaking out of cycles of anxiety and depression and building healthier, more balanced ways of coping.
Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)
I have experience using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to support people who feel stuck in cycles of anxiety and OCD. In my work, I help clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected, and how patterns like avoidance and compulsions can keep those cycles going. Together, we take small, manageable steps to face fears while practicing new ways of responding, so anxiety and OCD don’t have as much control. I believe that by changing how we respond to difficult thoughts and feelings, we can create more freedom, build confidence, and start moving toward the life you want.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
I strive to provide culturally sensitive therapy that honors each person’s unique background, identity, and lived experience. I recognize that culture can shape how we see ourselves, relate to others, and make sense of challenges, so I approach this work with curiosity, respect, and openness. In our work together, I aim to create a space where you feel seen, understood, and safe to be your full self, while also tailoring therapy to align with your values, beliefs, and goals.
Compassion Focused
I incorporate Compassion-Focused Therapy into my work to help clients develop a kinder, more supportive relationship with themselves. Many people struggle with self-criticism or shame, especially when dealing with anxiety, depression, or difficult life experiences. Together, we work on building self-compassion, learning how to respond to challenges with understanding rather than judgment. I believe that when we treat ourselves with compassion, we can reduce emotional distress, build resilience, and create a greater sense of safety and balance in our lives.
Psychoeducation
I believe psychoeducation is an important part of the therapy process, helping clients better understand what they’re experiencing and why. I take time to share clear, practical information about things like anxiety, mood, and coping patterns, so you can make sense of your experiences and feel more in control. My goal is to empower you with knowledge and tools that support lasting change, both in and outside of sessions.
