I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology from East Tennessee State University. I spent a decade working in college counseling settings before transitioning to private practice. I love working with young adults, as well as other individuals who are undergoing life transitions. I support individuals who are burnt out, struggling to feel "good enough", and/or who are looking for meaning and purpose in their lives to create a life worth living.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session will be primarily focused on getting to know you, what your needs are, and what you're looking for from therapy. After that, we'll collaboratively identify treatment goals and a plan to achieve them.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am authentic, non-judgmental, direct, compassionate, and motivated to help clients meet their needs/goals.

My treatment methods

Narrative

How we talk to/about ourselves matters. I work with clients to explore how their past experiences contribute to their current perspectives and collaborate with clients to create a narrative that is oriented toward self-compassion and healing.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Emotions can feel really overwhelming and may sometimes lead to ineffective coping strategies. I draw from DBT often when helping clients develop their toolkit for navigating difficult emotional experiences.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Values-based living can be incredibly powerful when struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma. I draw from ACT to assist clients in creating a life worth living.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

We often get trapped in negative cycles of thoughts, behaviors, and emotions. Working from a CBT lens allows different pathways to develop, encourages ways to challenge thoughts, and reduces experiences of "spiraling".
