I’m Michelle Rudolph, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with over 20 years of experience. My work is rooted in the Person-Centered (Rogerian) approach, which means I meet you with empathy, unconditional acceptance, and authenticity. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and valued. Together, we’ll explore your experiences, uncover your strengths, and move toward clarity, self-acceptance, and meaningful change at your own pace.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll start by talking about what brought you to therapy and what you’d like to get out of our work together. I’ll ask questions to better understand your concerns, history, and goals, while also giving you space to share at your own pace. We’ll discuss how I work, answer any questions you have, and begin identifying the first steps toward change. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the process ahead.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What sets my approach apart is the balance of warmth and honesty I bring to every session. I’m supportive, but I’m also direct — I won’t sugarcoat what’s keeping you stuck. I combine the Person-Centered (Rogerian) model with evidence-based methods like CBT and solution-focused strategies, so our work is tailored to your needs and goals. My clients often tell me they appreciate how quickly they feel understood, how practical our sessions are, and how they see real progress in a short amount of time.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Are you feeling isolated, stuck in a difficult relationship, facing work stress, or unsure about your next move? I’m here to meet you where you are and help you get where you want to be. Together, we’ll develop realistic solutions, reframe negative thoughts, and build a path toward self-love and acceptance. I typically work with adults dealing with anxiety, depression, life adjustments, and limiting beliefs. As a short-term, solution-focused therapist, I’ll help you adopt healthier thoughts and behaviors that move you forward. In our sessions, you’ll find a safe, supportive space to talk openly, feel understood, and create meaningful change. This is your journey — and I’d be honored to help you take the next step.

I started working with Michelle because I was looking for a new therapist that was EMDR trained. She has been great so far (5 sessions in). I feel like we have a strong understanding of each other. I really like that she allows me time to process and isn't pushy during our sessions.

My treatment methods

Integrative

I approach therapy through a trauma-informed lens, understanding how past experiences—whether acute or complex—can shape thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. My work centers on creating emotional safety, building trust, and empowering clients to reclaim their voice and sense of control. I use grounding techniques, psychoeducation, and gentle exploration to help clients process trauma at a pace that feels safe. Combined with CBT, mindfulness, and person-centered care, this approach supports deep healing without retraumatization. Clients often report feeling seen, supported, and more connected to themselves as they move from surviving to truly living.

Psychoeducation

For clients who experience sensory sensitivities, social communication challenges, emotional intensity, or chronic overwhelm, we may explore the possibility of neurodivergence, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). While not every client will require formal assessment, I offer thoughtful screening and psychoeducation to increase self-understanding and reduce shame. We’ll explore how your brain and nervous system uniquely function, and together develop strategies that support regulation, confidence, and ease. My approach is strengths-based, affirming, and designed to help you feel more understood—both by yourself and in the world around you.
