I love helping people heal from the past and learn to thrive in the present; by resolving past trauma, creating adaptive belief patterns, fostering healthy habits and sleep, and establishing life with meaning and purpose. I am a licensed clinical psychologist based in TN and serving individual adults in Tennessee, Colorado, and Alabama. I have been in the mental health field since 1999 and in practice as a psychologist since 2010.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, I look forward to learning about what specifically is bringing you into psychology therapy at this time. Collaboratively, we will begin to create a plan to guide our work together. Then I will share with you a little about myself and why I am in the field of psychology as a practicing psychologist and save time to answer any questions you have about the therapy process.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked in the mental health field since 1999, I have learned that every person is unique and special, and I have learned to embrace that part of people to facilitate the change that is desired. My experience offers a confidence in being able to implement interventions that provide optimal healing, growth, and improved quality of life.

EMDR

Helping people heal from the past and thrive in the present in my passion! As a certified Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) provider since 2012, I have helped client's resolve negative symptoms and improve their mood, reduce anxiety, improve sleep, focus and concentration as well as relationships. The mechanics of EMDR facilitates a mind/body shift that enables people to find peace, safety, and fulfillment in life. I love EMDR because it helped me resolve my past trauma and helps the client's I have the privileged of working with improve their overall quality of life.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i)

Sleeping better in 6-8 weeks! Retraining your mind and body to sleep in the bed and wake up feeling rested and refreshing with CBT-I. This is a structured and educational course of treatment that will help you get back on track and improve you daily functioning by improving your sleep quality.

Motivational Interviewing

Ready to break that nasty little habit that is holding you back! Motivational interviewing will help you figure out exactly what is keeping you stuck. Once you find that sticking point the sky is the limit on what you can accomplish and change in your life. I look forward to helping your create healthy habits that will improve your overall health and wellness with motivational interviewing.

Schema Therapy

Schemas are cognitive frameworks that people use to understand themself and the world around them. Sometimes these schemas need to be balanced in order to feel more alive, energetic, goal driven and/or at peace with yourself and others. This approach to therapy helps you discover where your schemas come from and how to change them.

Are you looking for your purpose in life and the meaning in who you are and what you do? A humanistic approach can help you do just that! Together we will build a therapeutic relationship where I show up for you with empathy and unconditional positive regard and you bring your curiosity and thoughts about what you want you life to be life. This approach will help you learn to become separate from your problems and discover yourself at a deeper level.
