Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPC) based in Tennessee and able to serve those in Mississippi. I received my Masters and PhD from the University of Memphis. I have been practicing for 10 years. I have experience working with diverse populations. I help adults struggling to cope with life transitions by helping them navigate issues and improve coping skills.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with women of all ages and in various stages of life for the past 10 years, I've developed a tried-and-true playbook for helping you (a) identify the root cause of your challenges and (b) create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with women experiencing emotional discomfort due to dissatisfaction with aspects of their lives. My clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious about their careers, romantic relationships, family dynamics, parenting experience and general life satisfaction.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a goal-oriented therapeutic approach that helps clients by focusing on their strengths and solutions rather than problems. I using SFBT work collaboratively with clients to identify their goals, explore past successes, and develop practical strategies to achieve positive change. This approach is typically short-term and emphasizes what is working well in a client’s life, encouraging them to build on their existing resources and capabilities. Through techniques such as scaling questions, miracle questions, and exception-seeking, I empower clients to envision and create their desired future in a constructive and time-efficient manner.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I am well-versed in using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in sessions to help clients identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. Through structured conversations and practical exercises, I guide clients in recognizing unhelpful beliefs, challenging them with evidence-based techniques, and developing healthier coping strategies. CBT often includes goal-setting, problem-solving, and homework assignments to reinforce skills learned in therapy. The approach is collaborative, My goal is to empower clients to take an active role in their mental health and work towards positive change.

Couples Counseling

I help clients navigate relationship challenges through couples counseling by providing a safe, neutral space to address communication issues, conflicts, and emotional disconnects. I guide partners in understanding each other's perspectives, improving communication skills, and fostering emotional intimacy. Through evidence-based techniques, such as active listening and conflict resolution strategies, I help couples identify underlying issues, rebuild trust, and develop healthier relationship patterns. The goal is to strengthen the partnership, enhance mutual understanding, and support long-term relationship satisfaction.

Strength-Based

I use strength-based treatment approaches to help clients by focusing on their existing strengths, resources, and resilience rather than solely addressing problems or deficits. This approach empowers individuals to build confidence, develop coping strategies, and leverage their unique abilities to overcome challenges. By recognizing and reinforcing what clients do well, I foster a sense of hope and motivation, guiding them toward achieving their personal goals and improving overall well-being.

Trauma Informed Care

I use trauma-informed care treatment approaches to create a safe, supportive environment that empowers clients to heal from past experiences. This approach recognizes the widespread impact of trauma and emphasizes trust, collaboration, and client choice. I integrate trauma-sensitive techniques, such as mindfulness, grounding exercises, and cognitive-behavioral strategies, to help clients process their experiences at their own pace. By focusing on resilience and strengths, trauma-informed care fosters healing while minimizing re-traumatization, promoting long-term emotional well-being.
