I have dedicated more than 30 years of my life to the helping profession of Social Work. I have worked tirelessly to advocate for the poor, elderly, disabled and those struggling with substance use and mental health challenges. I prefer to be in the present, listen to the client and partner with them to come up with a plan to meet their unique set of challenges and opportunities, not just just meet short term goals but make therapy a way to teach long term ways of coping that aid in meeting challenges in the future and not dependent on the therapist but through inner strengths that are fostered in therapy as ways to build up self-esteem, cultural pride and self worth.

I bring seven years of experience treating clients from a relational perspective. My goal from the time we meet is to connect with you as a human first and therapist second. This means I see you as an individual to build a relationship of trust and collaboration with, rather than as a list of problems to solve. As a trauma-informed therapist, I understand the importance of giving you agency over your treatment and life decisions. No one knows you better than you know yourself, so we set goals together, implement interventions at your pace, and maintain open communication throughout the process.

I have worked in school-based community mental health for six years. During this time I intermittently provided teletherapy and realized I love providing clients the access to therapy on their own terms. While I'm not new to the field, I’m excited to start using my experience to support clients and families with Grow! Therapy can feel intimidating and invasive, but it doesn't have to be! My goal is to make therapy approachable and beneficial for every client I serve. Are you a teenager caught in the challenges that come with being between childhood and adulthood? Are you a parent looking to better connect with and understand your child? Are you or your child having a hard time in school? Are you tired of the tension, arguments, hopelessness, and dysfunction? If so, you've come to the right place and I can't wait to help you get started!

I became a therapist simply because I’ve always wanted to help people. I've seen firsthand the incredible power of connection and how transformative it can be to have a non-judgmental, unbiased person who truly listens to you in therapy. That kind of support creates a space for growth and healing, and it’s something I’m passionate about offering to others. Being able to witness someone’s journey as they feel heard and understood is one of the most rewarding parts of this work. Growing up, I struggled with feeling like I belonged and often felt inadequate. Those experiences made me realize how important it is to have a safe space where you can be heard. I’m truly honored to be by someone’s side as they take strides toward becoming the best version of themselves and improving their lives. Everyone deserves that kind of support, and I’m grateful to offer it. Hi, I’m Kaja Switalska, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in helping adults, with particular focus on college-aged individuals, manage anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and adjustment issues. I aim to provide a welcoming, judgment-free space where you can feel heard. I often use humor to keep things light while also addressing real challenges. In our first sessions, we’ll get to know your unique needs and develop attainable goals. My approach blends CBT, mindfulness, solution-focused strategies, and motivational interviewing.

If your mind won’t slow down, you’re constantly overthinking, or you feel stuck in the same exhausting patterns; you’re not alone. Anxiety and depression can show up in ways that are hard to explain but very real to live with. In therapy, we focus on understanding what’s going on beneath the surface and building tools that help you feel more grounded and in control in everyday life, not just during sessions. Hi, I’m Ivorie, an LCSW in Tennessee with 8 years of experience providing therapy in schools and private practice. I’ve worked with kids, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, OCD, stress, and overwhelming life transitions. My school-based background shaped my practical, down to earth approach: meeting people where they are, breaking things down clearly, and helping them apply what we discuss outside of session. My style is warm, supportive, and honest. I strive to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and comfortable showing up as you are. Together, we’ll explore what’s beneath the surface, connect the dots, and find approaches that work for your real life.

Hello, I'm Rebecca, and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor. I believe that therapy should be a place where you can truly be yourself—a space where you can come as you are with no fear of judgment. My practice is built on the philosophy that genuine connection and compassionate support are the cornerstones of lasting change. I specialize in supporting adolescents and young adults navigating the unique pressures of modern life. I work with those feeling overwhelmed by "big feelings"—emotions that often manifest as high anxiety, social withdrawal, or intense reactivity. My approach moves beyond simply managing symptoms; I focus on building true emotional resilience. By helping my clients identify and understand their internal landscape, I empower them to move from a place of overwhelm to one of confidence and self-advocacy. Recognizing that healthy development doesn't happen in a vacuum, I am equally passionate about supporting the parents navigating these transitions. I work closely with caregivers who feel exhausted, overstretched, or as if they are "walking on eggshells" at home. I provide a grounded space to troubleshoot the complexities of parenting, helping families trade daily chaos for deeper, more resilient connections. If you are looking for a collaborative partner to help your family find its footing, I invite you to reach out so we can begin this journey together.

Therapy is a work of my heart. I have over 20 years of experience as a therapist and consider it a privilege for individuals to share their stories, often including their pain as well. I value individuals who take the courageous step of coming to therapy for the first time or starting anew with me. I am curious by nature and provide space for people to share their stories; I may also ask questions to delve a little deeper. I value humor in the healing process. When it's appropriate, I may say something to lighten the mood, as therapy can be difficult at times. My faith shapes my life and gives me hope, and I hold hope for every person I meet as I believe they are valuable, resilient, and capable of change.

Hello, and welcome. Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you’ve been carrying a lot on your own. Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, unsure where to start, or simply wanting things to feel more manageable again. My goal is to offer a space where you can slow down, feel understood, and begin making sense of what you’re experiencing. I take a collaborative, supportive approach to therapy and work to meet you where you are. Together, we focus on understanding patterns, building emotional awareness, and developing practical tools that help you feel more grounded and confident in your daily life. Therapy with me is not about judgment or pressure—it’s about clarity, growth, and meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.

Hi, I'm Anna. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I believe therapy should feel like a deep breath--not another thing to brace yourself for. In my office, you can exhale. You don't have to perform or polish anything up. I offer a space that's calm, honest, and rooted in trust--where it's okay to be messy, uncertain, angry, shut down, or just plain exhausted. You have a story and I'm here to help you heal. When I'm not in session, you'll usually find me making jewelry, lost in a craft project, or hanging out with my two cats (who definitely run the house) or chilling in nature. If you're looking for a grounded, real therapist to walk with you through the hard stuff--I'd be honored to work with you.

Frequently asked questions

Why filter by Tennessee rather than a city like Nashville?

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in Tennessee. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Tennessee from Memphis to Knoxville! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Tennessee.

Will my therapist take insurance?

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on Depression?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need. For example, your selected specialty, Depression, is filtering therapists in Tennessee that work with patients with similar concerns.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What happens during the first therapy session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
