Hello and welcome! Are you seeking to heal from past wounds, enhance your relationship with yourself, or improve your connections with others? My work is deeply rooted in supporting clients through trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, mood disorders, and attachment styles, while also fostering healthy, fulfilling relationships. I draw on a variety of proven techniques—like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), attachment theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Gestalt therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Exposure Therapy, the Gottman Method, psycho-education, and Positive Psychology. This allows me to tailor our sessions to your unique needs and help you achieve your goals.
The Therapy Process: Heal, Grow, Connect Heal: We start by gathering information about your unique experiences and timeline in the first session. This helps us understand your specific challenges and triggers. Together, we’ll address and heal past wounds that are causing current symptoms, exploring and processing your experiences to find relief and understanding. Grow: Next, we focus on developing new skills and strategies tailored to your needs. This includes building coping mechanisms, enhancing self-awareness, and learning effective ways to handle difficult situations. Connect: Finally, we work on re-establishing and strengthening your connections with yourself and others. This step is about improving relationships, fostering self-compassion, and finding a sense of fulfillment in your life. Through these steps, we’ll work together to help you move forward and live your best life.
When you begin therapy, you might initially feel a mix of emotions—relief, uncertainty, and hope. You’ll start to uncover and understand the roots of your challenges, and with each session, you'll gain new insights and strategies. As we work together, you’ll feel more empowered, supported, and on track to living a more fulfilling life. With my background in the United States Air Force and two years of dedicated experience as a therapist, I bring a blend of discipline, empathy, and practical knowledge to our sessions. I’m passionate about helping you heal, grow, and connect in ways that are meaningful to you. If you’re interested, I can also integrate a Christian perspective into our work upon request. Ready to take the first step? Book a session today and let’s start your journey toward a brighter, more fulfilling future.
1. Trauma and Past Wounds Struggling with persistent emotional pain, flashbacks, difficulty trusting others, or feeling stuck in the past? My goal is to provide you with a safe space to process these experiences, find relief from past trauma, and equip you with the tools you need for healing and moving forward. 2. Anxiety If you’re dealing with constant worry, panic attacks, or physical tension, you’re not alone. I can help you find effective strategies to manage anxiety, challenge and transform anxious thoughts, and regain a sense of calm and control over your fears. 3. Depression and Bipolar (Mood Disorders) If you’re facing persistent sadness, mood swings, or a loss of interest in life, I’m here to help. Together, we’ll work on managing mood symptoms, building resilience, and finding renewed purpose and stability in your life. 4. Attachment and Healthy Relationships Struggling with forming or maintaining healthy relationships, or dealing with fear of intimacy and trust issues? I can help you improve your relationship skills, understand your attachment style, and build lasting, fulfilling connections with others.

She was very nice and soothing. I’m excited for our next meetings.

This was my first therapy session ever. I had been putting it off for years. I finally realized things weren't getting better and I needed an outside professional to talk to. But I was so nervous and almost canceled. I couldn't, I'd already come this far. My first session with Kari was great. I know I talked more than I should have, since she had questions to get through (which I didn't know at the time) but she never tried to stop me, just listened. She's great! Ready for more with her!
