I am a trauma-informed, skills-based therapist who helps adults move from feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally stuck to feeling more grounded, regulated, and in control of their lives. My work is grounded in evidence-based approaches including CBT and DBT, with a strong focus on practical tools, emotional regulation, and real-life change—not just insight. I specialize in helping clients manage anxiety, depression, stress, and mild to moderate substance use concerns, especially those who want structure, clear goals, and strategies they can actually use between sessions. What makes my approach different is that I focus on helping clients build real-time skills for real-life moments, so progress isn’t just something you talk about in therapy—it’s something you can feel in your day-to-day life.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy designed to help individuals process and resolve distressing memories and experiences. It uses bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements or alternating tapping, to support the brain’s natural healing process. EMDR helps reduce the emotional intensity of traumatic or overwhelming experiences while strengthening more adaptive beliefs about oneself. This structured approach is effective for trauma, anxiety, depression, and other stress-related concerns, allowing clients to experience relief without needing to repeatedly relive the event in detail.
I am a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental social worker who strives to create a space where clients feel comfortable being their authentic selves. I believe that therapy works best when it feels safe, supportive, and grounded in genuine human connection. My goal is to meet you where you are, listen deeply, and help you move toward the changes you want in your life.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply looking for support and clarity, I aim to help you better understand your patterns, strengthen coping skills, and build tools that support lasting change.
My approach is practical and goal-oriented while still being compassionate and flexible. I often incorporate strategies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT-informed skills, Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness-based practices. I am also a certified yoga teacher, and I value the connection between mind and body, often integrating mindfulness and self-awareness techniques into the work we do together.
Much of my professional experience has been supporting children, adolescents, and families in school, crisis, and residential settings. These experiences have shaped my ability to remain calm, supportive, and solution-focused while helping people navigate difficult emotions and challenging situations.
I strive to make therapy feel approachable and collaborative, whether you are seeking short-term, solution-focused support or a space to explore deeper patterns and growth.
Hello, my name is Linda Pelosi, LCSW-R, and thank you so much for stopping by my profile. I am truly excited to meet you and see whether we are a great fit for the work ahead. Couples therapy is my niche, and I have been dedicated to this work for 35 years. Over these decades, I have gained deep wisdom, perspective, and compassion from the many couples I’ve had the privilege to support.

I work collaboratively and wholeheartedly, walking beside you as we explore new ways to bring your relationship into a healthier, more connected, and thriving place.
I look forward to the possibility of working with you soon.

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially when depression or anxiety begins to affect your daily life. Rita LaBrew, LMFT, brings a depth of experience spanning foster care, child welfare, private practice, and telehealth. I offer a collaborative therapy space grounded in clinical skill and evidence-informed care. I tailor treatment to each client’s goals, helping individuals build insight, resilience, and lasting change. I work with adults willing to look inward and reflect on their inner lives. My approach integrates psychodynamic therapy and psychoeducation to help clients understand how past experiences, unconscious patterns, and present thoughts shape emotions and behavior. By offering clarity, language, and insight, therapy becomes a space for understanding, steadiness, and meaningful change over time.
My style is thoughtful, direct, and collaborative. I use an insight-oriented psychodynamic approach to help you understand the roots beneath the pattern: family-of-origin dynamics, protective roles, and the stories you’ve had to live by. I also use psychoeducation to make therapy practical: clear language for what you’re experiencing, tools for boundaries, and ways to respond differently in real life.

I serve individuals and couples between the ages of 18-60 who struggle with communication skills, boundary settings, family and relationship challenges among other challenges who are ready and willing to begin their healing journey.
I work with people who feel stuck in their own mind—overthinking, second-guessing, or constantly on edge.

Hi — I’m Sonjia Smith, LMFT, a Licensed Marriage and Family I’m Sonjia Smith, LMFT, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Specialized Crisis Counselor, and the founder of Therapy with Sonjia (formerly Couples Therapy with Sonjia).
Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, my passion for mental health is deeply personal. As an African American, Christian, Queer Cisgender Woman, I bring a lived, compassionate perspective to my work — creating a space where high-achieving women of all backgrounds feel seen, supported, and deeply understood.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked with individuals, couples, and families navigating complex relationship and emotional challenges. But over time, I noticed a pattern: so many successful, ambitious men and women quietly carrying invisible wounds — the trauma, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and exhaustion that often go unnoticed beneath high achievement.
That’s where my heart led me.
Now, my work is centered on helping men and women heal from childhood and relational trauma, release survival patterns that no longer serve them, and reconnect with the versions of themselves they’ve longed to be. I specialize in supporting those dealing with:
• Attachment wounds
• People-pleasing and boundary struggles
• Anxiety, anger, and emotional reactivity
• Histories of intimate partner violence
• Exhaustion from constantly holding it all together

Allinllachu (Hello in Quechua)! My name is Joicy and I am a Queer Quechua Peruvian immigrant.
Community takes the center stage in my life’s work. Whether that is inviting clients to think of their community and cultivate intentional interpersonal relationships or thinking of our collective joy and grief, I am guided and guide people to explore the self in relation to community. It is within our circles that through conversation and exploration we are all able to become aware of patterns created through our life experiences, develop healthy ways to navigate interactions, and have the opportunity to live a stable and healthy life. There is no “one size fits all” approach to therapy. I utilize a combination of practices with a focus on liberation psychology, psychodynamic, humanistic, decolonized approaches to healing. I believe that exploring current situations paired with reflecting on past experiences as well as considering ancestral history, can be a recipe to develop awareness which can drive the process of change in people; if they so desire.
Allyship, privilege, racism, homophobia, colorism, history of colonization on mental health, and intersectionality are some topics that will be brought up and discussed within the therapeutic process.
I speak Spanish and English.
I create a safe and nonjudgmental space for my clients to explore and process through self-reflection. I have an obligation to help my clients find their inner strengths and empower them to improve their own lives. Life can feel overwhelming at times, and while resilience matters, there are moments when extra support can make a meaningful difference. I work with individuals who feel stuck in unhelpful patterns and are looking for guidance, insight, and practical tools to move forward. In therapy, I help clients build healthy coping skills, strengthen self-esteem, and navigate life transitions. My approach focuses on increasing awareness of thoughts and emotions to better understand challenges and develop effective, lasting solutions. I specialize in working with anxiety, relationship challenges, depression, and substance abuse/misuse.
