New to Grow
My name is Christina Siegel, I’m a bilingual licensed clinical social worker with over 15 years experience in the field. I’m Cuban American south Florida native. I received my bachelors degree in sociology in 2009 and my masters degree in social work from Barry University in 2010. I then moved to NY where I have been living since. I worked part of my career providing outpatient mental health therapy to individual’s and families and have spent the last 10 years working in an inpatient psychiatric hospital. I’m a firm believer that no one is exempt from needing therapy at one point in their life and there is no shame is taking care of your mental health. It is essential to give mental health the same respect we give to our physical health. The majority of my work has been focused on cognitive behavioral therapy with adolescents and adults. I’ve treated individuals struggling with various needs; adjustment disorder, loss, trauma, psychosis, separation/divorce and family conflict. If you’ve thought about getting therapy I encourage you to take the risk and If you’ve been to therapy and had a poor experience I encourage you to try again.
What if you could speak to someone whose goal is to provide support in a safe space from the comfort of your own home. Creating an unbiased and therapeutic environment is essential in order to fully benefit from treatment. As a bilingual clinical social worker I can also provide therapy to Spanish speaking individuals. The most rewarding aspect of this field is helping others help themselves in working toward becoming their best self. There’s no shame in asking for help. It takes strength to practice self love. I look forward to working with you and providing you with the support and guidance you deserve. During the initial assessment I ask the client what their goals are for therapy, the focus is on YOU and YOUR needs, my goal is to support you in the journey.
I provide a warm, assertive and humorous environment to be free to be your authentic self creating an unbiased environment. Taking care of ones mental health is one of the greatest forms of self care. During these difficult times life can get in the way of accomplishing our goals. When we are not at our best it’s difficult to enjoy life.
