About me

Hi, I’m Treshana Hyatt, but most people call me Trish. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master's of Science degree from Mercy College and four years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through life’s ups and downs. I bring a warm, compassionate, and down-to-earth approach to therapy, creating a space where you can show up just as you are - no judgment, no pressure. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or just trying to make sense of things. I’m here to help you untangle what’s weighing you down, tap into your strengths, reconnect with what matters and start moving toward the life you want.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is a gentle space where your story can be shared with care and respect. We’ll take time to get to know each other, explore what brought you to therapy, and discuss your goals and hopes for our work together. My aim is to create a safe, supportive, and comfortable space where you feel free to share openly, honestly and at your own pace. Together, we’ll identify goals that matter most to you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my approach is that I meet clients where they are, combining warmth, empathy, and practical guidance. I focus on helping people make sense of their experiences, untangle patterns that no longer serve them, and tap into their own strengths. I draw from methods like narrative therapy, systems thinking, and reflective techniques, but I tailor every session to the person in front of me. My goal is to help clients feel more grounded, confident, and in control of their lives, while also fostering deeper connection with themselves and the people they care about. Clients often tell me they leave sessions feeling understood, lighter, and more capable of facing life’s challenges with a clearer sense of what matters most to them and how to move forward.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I believe therapy doesn’t have to feel clinical or intimidating. It’s simply a conversation about your story, your growth, and your healing. Together, we’ll work toward helping you feel more grounded, confident, and aligned with the life you want to live. Hi! I’m Treshana Hyatt, but you can call me Trish. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s degree from Mercy College and a heart for helping people through life’s twists and turns. My approach is warm, real, and judgment-free; a space where you can exhale and just be you. We’ll talk honestly about what’s been weighing on your mind and work together to help you feel more grounded, understood, and supported. I’m best suited for individuals and couples who are ready to dig a little deeper; Individuals who give so much to others yet feel emotionally drained, uncertain, or out of sync with themselves. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by relationships, past experiences, or the pressure to hold everything together. I work well with those who want to understand themselves better, break old patterns, and build healthier ways of relating to others and to themselves. Whether you’re navigating stress, trauma, relationship challenges, or simply trying to reconnect with your sense of peace and purpose, I offer a space to slow down, reflect, and start creating real, lasting change. Together, we’ll work through what’s keeping you from moving forward, uncover your strengths, and reconnect with what truly matters so you can feel more grounded, confident, and at ease in your life. I see therapy as two people having honest conversations about your story, your growth, and your healing. You don’t need to have it all figured out to begin.

Narrative

I use Narrative Therapy to help clients separate themselves from their problems and reclaim authorship of their stories. Through externalizing, re-authoring, and exploring unique outcomes, clients identify values and strengths that guide preferred ways of living. This approach aligns with my systemic perspective, allowing individuals and couples to reshape limiting narratives, strengthen identity, and build relationships grounded in empathy and purpose.
