I have over 40 years experience counseling others, first as a pastoral minister and then as a psychotherapist since 2001. I earned my Masters in Social Work from the University at Albany, NY in 2001 and worked in a mental health clinic in rural New York state for 14 years. There I assessed and treated a wide variety of issues and provided a broad range of treatment approaches. I've supervised other therapists and taught clinical social work practice to graduate students for over 9 years. In 2018, while teaching as an adjust instructor in the social work department of Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, FL, I started my private practice as an independent contractor for a psychiatric practice. Since then I moved back to the Albany, NY area and branched out to see clients privately who live in NY as well as in Florida. I currently am licensed in NY, FL and North Carolina and can see clients that live in or migrate throughout the year among those three states.

I embrace an affirming approach to therapy which includes validation and advocacy across the spectrum of gender identity and sexual orientation. As a Racial Justice Ally, I make efforts to open up healing discussions around race in therapy and take a de-centering approach to addressing the impact of racial injustice in our society.
You are the expert in your own life experiences. I will listen and explore in a way that creates a safe space for healing and diving deeper into what weighs you down. My aim is to empower you, helping you tap into your inner strength and wisdom. Your journey towards resilience is a personal one, and I am here to support you in uncovering the strength that has always resided within you.
With over two decades of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the field of mental health. I am well-versed in various Evidence Based Treatment Models. Healing is not one size fits all. So, we will work together to find the approach that fits you.
I predominantly work with young men struggling with social anxiety disorder. Do you struggle with social anxiety and poor self-confidence? I know that overcoming it is possible! Many come to therapy for social anxiety because of childhood trauma and how it has manifested in their adult lives. Often this manifests in feelings of poor self-confidence, poor self-worth, and poor self-confidence. At its root, the fundamental belief of those who have social anxiety is the belief, “I am not enough.” Clients get into the habit of comparing themselves to others and it makes them feel inadequate and insecure. Over time clients begin to avoid situations that elicit their anxiety, particularly social situations. This can lead to social isolation and loneliness. Clients will present with complaints of frequent panic attacks, not having a romantic partner, not having friends, not being happy in their jobs and feeling disconnected from life. They are labeled by others as shy, quiet, or introverted. This scenario described myself for much of my life which gives me lived experience to better able to assist you. I help individuals combat their social fears and begin to live a rich and fulfilling life. I do this through cognitive behavioral therapy techniques primarily but also integrate solution-focused therapy, assertiveness training, exposure therapy, and acceptance & commitment therapy. Whether you're a teen struggling to make friends and socialize or you are an adult unable to speak up at work meetings or unable to ask someone out on a date, I'm here for you! Seeking therapy can be frightening but I want to assure you that you will be most welcome if you take that leap of faith!
Hi, I’m Megan! I’m a licensed therapist in New York, New Jersey, and North Carolina who helps people feeling burned out, anxious, or stuck in survival mode reconnect with balance and purpose. Many of my clients come to me after feeling overwhelmed by work, relationships, or the constant pressure to keep going — even when they’re running on empty.
I create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can slow down, make sense of what’s been weighing on you, and learn healthier ways to cope. My style is compassionate and collaborative — I meet you where you are and help you build practical tools for stress, boundaries, and self-care that actually fit your life.
Before starting my private practice, I worked in behavioral health settings supporting individuals living with substance use, bipolar disorder, and other chronic mental health conditions. That experience taught me that healing isn’t one-size-fits-all — and that real change happens when therapy feels safe, personalized, and empowering.
If you’re ready to move from burnout to balance, I’d love to help you take that next step.
My approach is trauma-informed, person-centered with mindfulness intertwined throughout, and provides unbiased, quality care for my clients. I always want a client to feel supported and have a solid foundation by having their trauma addressed first, and gently, as we make progress. I have been an advocate in community mental health for nearly 20 years. I started out in group homes and care management, working my way through various positions in the field while obtaining two Master's Degrees. I have worked in Crisis and as a contractor for NYS DOCCS while managing a Homeless shelter, all prior to becoming a clinician, giving me a very diverse background all prior to becoming a clinician.
I help people navigate relationships with others and with themselves. By gaining a deeper understanding of your internal world, you can better manage external stressors and feel more free and grounded in your life. Together, we explore relational patterns both in and outside of therapy to reduce inner conflict and support greater confidence in facing the world. Therapy is a collaborative space where curiosity, reflection, and emotional honesty are encouraged. My goal is to help you feel more connected to yourself and more empowered in your relationships and daily life.

Hi, Welcome to my page. It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you. We all face challenges in our daily lives. It is helpful to be able to have someone who is experienced to talk to, and who is not emotionally connected to the situation, in order to help you process, find solutions and to obtain goals. This is where I can be a service to you.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York State and have been practicing for over 13 years, and I am also a Military Veteran.
My approach is built on a foundation of warmth and non-judgmental acceptance, where you can feel safe to explore your deepest concerns. Clients often tell me they appreciate my direct communication style, which respectfully gets to the heart of the matter without endless circling. By combining a safe space with clear, insightful feedback, I aim to empower you to trust your own wisdom, develop a stronger sense of self-worth, and navigate challenges with newfound confidence and resilience.
I am a master’s level licensed clinical mental health counselor (LMHC), (LPC) and credentialed SUD Counselor (CASAC-A) (CADC II) with training and expertise in both Cognitive Behavior Therapy as well as psychodynamic treatment. I work with young adults and adults and have expertise in treating patients with depression, anxiety, PTSD, compulsive, addictive behaviors and domestic violence. I have specialized training in various evidence-based treatments for trauma such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). I hope to help patients learn effective ways to cope with stress, manage difficult emotions and communicate well with others.
We have all acquired ways of coping that get in the way of our development, and manifest as emotional pain, such as anxiety and depression. I work with clients to identify and reduce these painful symptoms. Clients are then freer to use their energy in pursuit of their goals. I work with young, midlife, and older adults. I develop a safe and collaborative relationship with clients. In that context, I do short and long-term psychotherapy and train clients to use specific protocols to modify symptoms that are in the way of personal and professional functioning. My approach provides support, guidance, and education to help you become the best version of yourself and work towards achieving your goals. I consider it an honor to work alongside you, and I look forward to meeting you soon.
My counseling style is warm, caring, and interactive. I create a safe, stigma-free environment where all clients are treated with respect, dignity, and compassion.
I work to form a treatment plan in coordination with the client so that we can have the most successful counseling relationship possible. Together we can begin to create a space where they feel seen, heard, and understood. As we discover potential underlying issues, I integrate cognitive behavioral therapy with strength-based approach to help people change their thoughts, feelings, and patterns of behavior to improve their current situation and their work and interpersonal relationships.

I’m Jose A. Santos, LCSW/Psychotherapist. I have been committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care to clients of all ages and background for the past 20 years.
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially when depression or anxiety begins to affect your daily life. You may find yourself feeling stuck, emotionally drained, or caught in cycles of worry and distressing thoughts. You’re not alone—and help is available. I work with individuals experiencing persistent sadness, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and trauma-related stress. I offer a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and respected.
I'm an LCSW who believes therapy works best when it feels thoughtful, supportive and collaborative. I value creating a space where people can slow down, reflect and better understand themselves without pressure or judgement. I believe meaningful change happens through understanding yourself more deeply, building self-compassion and feeling supported along the way. I use an insight-oriented, trauma informed approach, integrating practical skills when helpful to support lasting change.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who blends warmth, honesty, direct feedback, and evidence-based strategies to help clients feel more grounded and in control of their lives. I work with people navigating anxiety, stress, and big life transitions, and I focus on giving you practical tools you can use right away while still holding space for deeper reflection and growth.
I take a holistic perspective with my clients to address the health of body, mind, and spirit. I believe that a solid therapeutic relationship between client and therapist is a crucial part of the healing process, and that techniques and therapy approaches must “fit” the client in order to be effective—there is no “one size fits all” therapy. My goal, as a counselor and therapist, is to deeply understand my client, and when this happens we are able to identify areas of life that need to be changed, and ways of going about doing that. Therapy is a collaborative process between a trained therapist and a client who wants to change.

My approach to therapy is holistic and deeply personalized, recognizing that true healing involves the mind, body, and spirit. As a Christian Counselor, faith is a foundational element, providing hope, meaning, and a moral compass in the therapeutic journey. Clinically, I integrate evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to challenge unhelpful thought patterns, alongside psychodynamic techniques to explore how past experiences and relationships shape present struggles. Furthermore, I often utilize Family Systems principles to understand relationship dynamics and facilitate healthier connections. My goal is to create a space where your faith is respected and utilized as a powerful resource for growth and lasting change.
As your counselor, my focus is on helping you discover what truly matters to you and supporting you in creating a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling. I believe every person already carries strengths and inner wisdom shaped by their experiences. My role is to help you recognize and build on those strengths, develop greater self-awareness, and move forward with clarity, confidence, and emotional balance.
I have been in practice 35+ years as a social worker and therapist. My training is in pyschoanalytic psychotherapy and CBT along with holistic gestalt techniques. My practice covers a wide demographic of all ages. At the core I intend to help patients develop a greater self esteem, undo early and ongoing emotional losses, and feel safe in our work together.
I work with adults navigating stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, identity concerns, and life transitions. I take a whole-person approach, looking at how your thoughts, emotions, body, and daily habits all connect. My approach is supportive, culturally responsive, and grounded in real-life experiences. I aim to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, explore your challenges, and develop practical ways to feel more balanced, confident, and connected in your everyday life. Therapy with me is about understanding you, not fixing you, and helping you make meaningful changes at your own pace.
Welcome! Thank you for considering working together with me to reach your goals.
