Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Through CBT, we will work together to identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and beliefs, ultimately restructuring them to promote healthier coping strategies and more adaptive behavior. I also incorporate exposure therapy for specific phobias and obsessive-compulsive disorder, to systematically desensitize my clients to their triggers and overcome feelings of discomfort.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy combines CBT with meditative practices, to better tolerate the present moment and become comfortable with our thoughts and feelings, without judgement. This is especially helpful for those struggling with racing thoughts, anxieties, negative thoughts, and challenges with concentration. Some of these coping skills include meditations, deep breathing, and visualizations.
Grief Therapy
We deserve to grieve the loss of our loved ones in a space that is safe, empathetic, and supportive. I have several years experience providing grief support in an individual and group setting. Grief can alter the world we once knew and leave us feeling lost, and my approach is to walk beside you as you heal on the physical, emotional, and spiritual level.
Somatic
Do you tend to notice that you experience many symptoms on a physical level? tension, heart rate, changes in your breathing? For those who suffer from anxiety, PTSD, and depression, these experiences may show up in a physical way. Somatic healing focuses on how these symptoms appear in the body, and healing from the inside out.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
We all have parts of our personality, and sometimes these parts are in conflict with each other. They may carry pain, anger, trauma, and problematic behavior. I utilize this treatment approach to better help you better understand who you are as a person while healing from past pain and traumas.
