I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor licensed in New York and Florida. I am also a certified New York MASTER CASAC and a Florida MCAP. I have been in the field since 2014 and I help those who struggle with substance use, anxiety, day to day life, returning from incarceration/military into the community, mood swings, and depression. I can help you reach your goals at you own pace through guidance and positive reinforcement. I look forward to watching you grow and succeed

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will talk about introductions. We will speak with each other about patient expectations for themselves and what they would like from me. We will have an open discussion about goals and what you are looking for in regard to short- and long-term expectations. The conversation will be insightful and relaxed as we gain an understanding of the therapeutic expectation

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have a passion for my work and for my clients. I find genuine joy in my work watching those who struggle, excel, and come into their own. I enjoy being an open, non-judgmental, and empathetic counselor who helps people find their way. I excel at listening to my clients and taking their needs and wants and turning it into a realistic goal that is attainable. I work very hard to work with my clients for what they are working to achieve

My treatment methods

Adlerian

I engage in Adlerian therapy as this form of therapy is often more direct and tends to have more solution based focused. This is beneficial for those who are looking for a more direct therapist with guidance and solution based goals

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

This is a treatment that I have been working with since 2014 and believe in the positive results that I have seen repeatedly in my patients lives through the years. Changing our negative thoughts into positive behaviors helps decrease negative mental health symptoms and change our behaviors leading to success

Motivational Interviewing

This is a treatment modality that I enjoy using because it is a wonderful practice technique helping those struggling with external and internal issues to help them progress to their goals by increasing motivation and overcoming barriers.
