LCSW, 1 years of experience
New to Grow
I've been a clinician for 15 years. I use an active, direct, engaged style with a variety of approaches that aims to help my clients identify and change negative thought patterns; explore how past experiences, and unconscious conflicts might be influencing their current thoughts, feelings, and behaviors; gain a deeper understanding of themselves, using their inherent strengths, resilience, and positive qualities to help them improve their well-being. I provide an integrative holistic approach in a warm, supportive, non-judgmental and safe atmosphere for clients to explore their feelings, thoughts and relationships.
I use my first session to ask questions, help the client feels comfortable, understand their needs, and set the groundwork for treatment. I do this by creating a safe, non-judgmental space so the client can talk openly. I assist the client with defining what you want to achieve in therapy and discuss what the sessions usually look like and the approaches that I will be using to treat them.
I am a dedicated and empathetic clinician devoted to helping clients from all walks of life through challenging times. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), transitions, trauma, substance abuse, general mental health, adjustment disorder, relationship issues, career difficulties and life challenges.
I counsel my clients that they are the experts in their lives, and we collaborate to improve their relationships, beliefs, thoughts and meet their lives’ goals. My practice is unique because I tailor services to each client’s unique experiences to create an individualized plan for treatment in order to assist them with them with overcoming their challenges.
I use CBT to teach clients to notice patterns, challenge negative thoughts, and practice new behaviors. It helps structure my sessions to attain goals using worksheets, guided questions, and to teach practical tools.
I use the integrative approach in therapy to blend techniques from different therapeutic models to best fit each client’s needs and flexibly combine tools based on what works for the person, their symptoms, and their goals.
I use Motivational Interviewing to collaborate in a non-judgmental approach to help clients explore and strengthen their own motivation for change when they feel ambivalent about change.
