New to Grow
I’m a therapist with over five years of experience in the mental health field, driven by a deep belief that healing begins when people feel safe within themselves. My work focuses on helping clients develop effective coping skills, build emotional resilience, and improve their overall quality of life in ways that feel realistic and sustainable. My path into this work started early. I’ve been in helping roles since the age of 19, beginning as a Certified Nursing Assistant and later working as a Direct Support Professional. Those experiences shaped my approach to therapy today: grounded, compassionate, and deeply respectful of each person’s lived experience. Therapy with me is collaborative and practical. Together, we identify tools and strategies that actually fit your life, not ones that sound good on paper but fall apart in real-world moments. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, empowered, and capable of thriving, not just surviving. Humor is always welcome here; therapy doesn’t have to feel like homework to be meaningful.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Your first session is a supportive, low-pressure space where we focus on understanding what’s bringing you in and what you need to feel better. This session is more comprehensive, but it’s not overwhelming and there’s no expectation to share everything at once. I’ll ask thoughtful questions about your experiences, symptoms, and strengths to get a full picture of what’s going on, while checking in with you along the way. You’re always in control of what you share, and I’ll explain the process as we go. By the end of the session, many clients leave with greater clarity, a sense of what therapy with me will look like, and sometimes a few grounding tools to take with them. We’ll also talk about next steps and begin shaping a plan that fits your life. Come as you are. Humor is welcome, breaks are allowed, and we’ll move at a pace that feels manageable.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I’m known for creating a safe, grounding space where clients feel truly understood and supported. I bring strong clinical insight while keeping therapy warm, human, and approachable, helping turn complex emotions into practical tools that actually work in real life. My work is trauma-informed, affirming, and inclusive of neurodiversity and LGBTQIA+ identities, and I believe a little humor can go a long way. Together, we focus on meaningful progress in a space that feels supportive, empowering, and manageable.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with clients who want to feel genuinely understood and supported, and who are ready to move through life without feeling like their brain is constantly working against them. I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, ADHD, and neurodivergence, and I proudly offer a safe, affirming space for members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT as a supportive, skills-based approach that helps clients understand their inner experiences and develop tools to manage anxiety, mood, and stress in ways that feel realistic and sustainable
Narrative
I use Narrative Therapy to help clients explore the stories they tell about themselves, identify patterns that no longer serve them, and rewrite those stories in ways that feel more hopeful, accurate, and empowering.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
In my practice, mindfulness-based therapy focuses on slowing down and tuning in. Together, we develop practices that help clients feel more grounded, reduce overwhelm, and relate to their experiences with kindness rather than judgment
