Hi! I'm so happy you're here. My name is Kelly and I am a LMHC. It is my passion and purpose to help see my clients through some of their hardest days and lowest points. My clients would describe me as honest, compassionate, and down to earth. I’m direct, easy to talk to, and I pride myself on the way that I connect with my clients on a deeper level. In our work, we will explore ways for you to develop effective coping skills, learn to communicate better, reach your personal goals, and build a more authentic, fulfilling life. I am newly EMDR-trained & I incorporate this powerful approach to help clients process & heal from the underlying experiences that shaped these patterns. My approach also consists of a CBT-based style with a focus on inner-child healing. Clients often leave sessions feeling seen, supported, and empowered to create lasting change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our initial intake session will be an hour long (future sessions will range from 45-60 minutes depending on your needs). Our first session will be focused on me getting to know you and deepening my understanding of your therapeutic goals. It will be very conversational and it will help me to figure out how I can best help you!

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my therapeutic approach is my ability to balance compassion with honesty, while creating a warm, down-to-earth space where clients feel safe to be real. I’m direct, easy to talk to, and when appropriate, I use humor to help ease difficult conversations and build genuine connection. My work is grounded in a CBT-based approach with an inner-child focus, and I've recently become trained in EMDR to further support clients in processing trauma. I tailor therapy to each client’s needs, helping them build practical coping skills, improve communication, and break long-standing patterns to live more confidently and authentically.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I specialize in working with adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety and overthinking, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem, people-pleasing and codependency, childhood trauma, and family and relationship dynamics. I gravitate toward a CBT-based approach with a strong focus on inner-child work, and I especially enjoy working with individuals who need support finding their voice, building confidence, and feeling more empowered. My approach is always tailored to meet each client’s unique needs.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

In my counseling work, I use attachment theory as a framework to help clients understand how early relationships influence the way they connect with others today. We explore patterns such as anxiety in relationships, emotional distance, or comfort with closeness, and examine how these patterns may show up during conflict, stress, or vulnerable moments. This approach helps clients recognize how past experiences can shape their current thoughts, emotions, and relationship behaviors.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my counseling work, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that influence their emotions and behaviors. I work with clients to develop more balanced thinking and practical coping strategies to manage stress, anxiety, and other concerns more effectively.

EMDR

In my work, I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help clients process and heal from past traumatic or distressing experiences. This approach helps reduce the emotional intensity of painful memories so clients can move forward with greater clarity and resilience.

Couples Counseling

In couples counseling, I focus on improving communication, strengthening emotional connection, and helping partners better understand each other’s needs and perspectives. I work with couples to identify unhealthy patterns, resolve conflict more effectively, and build a more secure and supportive relationship.
