New to Grow
I am a licensed clinical social worker who is dedicated to helping my clients cope with life challenges. I take a psychodynamic and trauma-informed approach while utilizing behavioral techniques, such as CBT. I have experience working with individuals diagnosed with acute and chronic mental illnesses in outpatient facilities and inpatient hospital settings. Together, we can begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship and outline next steps that feel aligned with your needs.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During our first session together, you can expect a warm, compassionate, and supportive space where you are met without judgment. We will take time to get to know one another, discuss what brings you to therapy, and explore your goals at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I bring a wide range of clinical experience to my work, including my experience spent working in fast-paced inpatient hospital settings and in an alternative-to-incarceration programs with youth, where I provided extensive crisis intervention. I have experience facilitating group therapy and working with individuals who have experienced trauma. Above all, I bring my heart into the therapy space, approaching each client with compassion, empathy, and a nonjudgmental presence.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I am committed to providing a safe and confidential environment for my clients to process painful emotions and work toward their goals. The therapeutic alliance is very important and crucial to healing. Together we will work on strategies that allow you to address the root causes of your stressors and symptoms in order to build a deeper understanding of yourself and others.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. We work collaboratively to identify unhelpful thinking patterns and build structured coping skills which can help develop healthier responses to life’s challenges.
Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)
I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to help clients gradually face feared thoughts or situations while learning to resist compulsive or avoidance behaviors. We move at a supportive, collaborative pace, building tolerance for uncertainty and discomfort in a way that feels manageable and empowering.
Trauma Informed Care
In my practice, I use a trauma-informed approach that prioritizes safety and trust. I recognize the impact trauma can have on the nervous system, relationships, and sense of self. I work to meet clients where they are at. By emphasizing the power of autonomy, empowerment, and compassion, I work to help clients build resilience, develop grounding skills, and work toward healing without re-traumatization.
Grief Therapy
In my practice, I approach grief therapy with compassion and respect for each person’s unique experience of loss. I provide a supportive space to process complex emotions, honor ongoing bonds, and navigate the changes that grief can bring. Together, we focus on coping strategies, meaning-making, and integrating loss in a way that supports healing while better understanding the stages of grief.
