My name is Alyssa Haley and I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, & families. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, attention, neurodivergence, trauma, mood dysregulation, communication, social skills and life transition issues. I have an eclectic approach that combines cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, family systems, attachment, object relational, acceptance and commitment therapy, and trauma informed approaches. I will shape our treatment goals to meet your unique specific needs. I look forward to learning more about your treatment goals. Therapy is a partnership and is hard work, but with consistency and perseverance real change can be made.
In our first session we will discuss what issues are bringing you to therapy at this time, what you hope to get to of therapy, and what has been working for you. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to ask me any questions about my practice to ensure it is a good fit for you.
I truly believe that people are doing the best that they can under their unique life circumstances and always try to meet them where they are at. My goal is to facilitate others becoming the best version of themselves and become emotionally independent. As treatment progresses and therapeutic gains are made, we will work together to titrate treatment to foster independence.
I have had the privilege of working with a diverse population of people throughout my career including adults, adolescents, families, LGBTQ+, persons with chronic medical conditions and persons who have been diagnosed on the autism spectrum. I have extensive experience with treating clients struggling with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, social skills issues, OCD, trauma, family conflict, and life transitions.
